They are at 3pm ("real" tea is at 3pm) on sea days. I found a menu on one of the websites and it showed finger sandwiches, scones, some dessert type stuff, coffees (extra charge), etc.
We went to high tea, and I thought it was so cute. It wasn't crowded at all, it was nice and quiet, and what a GREAT view of the ocean! We had a bunch of little sandwiches, my favorite was the cream cheese and cucumber. There were delicious scones served with an asortment of even more delicious jams!
You pick what sort of tea you want, and they bring it to you in a little tea pot (short and stout! ) and you have to use a little tea strainer thing that sits over your tea cup so you don't get tea leaves.
And there was trifle, which I had never had before...and I wasn't crazy about it.
But I highly recommend High Tea. I enjoyed the little break in the day. We went right after getting massages...I recommend that as well!
thanx for the info! sounds like heaven if you've got a sweet tooth!! and katyblue04, that's a great idea about getting a massage prior to tea! hmmm... ok, will have to think about it, & run it by DH!
We went to high tea today in Palo. There were only 4 other tables filled besides ours. Real quiet and nice! All the food mentioned above was served and it was very good! Loved the finger sandwiches!
