palo... food to go ?

can you order something from palo & have it "to go", after your dinner there? i know, greedy! but it's for a "good cause"...and here it is...our DSs (6 & 4) loves desserts, the 4yo especially! anyways, would love for them to try the souffle...(and if they don't like it, which i highly doubt, or don't finish it, i could enjoy it!) anyways, was wondering if i could order one, and have them put it in a to go box. has anyone done that? or maybe that's a no-no? do you know? thanx!

I have not done it but I read here on other threads that you can order a souffle to go. Just let your waiter know at the beginning of your meal.

We sailed a few years ago with 8 of us. My DD, then 14, obviously was not allowed to dine with us in Palo. Being the horrible parents we are, we went anyway! At the end of our meal our waitress told us we should have ordered an extra souffle for her! (A little too late!)

Anyway we are going this Christmas and 4 out of the 12 will not be dining in Palo (DD17 included, again - rotten partents!). I plan to ask for 4 extra to be ready for when we leave!

On the last evening we asked our regular head server (at our regular dinner time) if we could order the souffle from Palo for our DD13 & 16 to share. We did this at the beginning of the meal. He said it wasn't usually allowed but he would check and at the end of our meal he presented them with the souffle.
Needless to say they were in heaven and we tipped the head server very well that evening.

I knew to request this because I read about it here on the Disboards.

hey, Randall! fancy meeting you here! yes, do try. i'm going to, for our DSs. i know they'd love it, and knowing that it came from palo, the "adult restaurant only for adults"...they'd think that would be so special!!!!!
