I didn't see another thread on this yet. So the dress code for Palo is now saying jeans are okay, as long as they are in good condition. And I don't see capris listed as prohibited any longer either. What do you think? I personally am disappointed to see jeans allowed. I liked the dressier feel of Palo.

Dress Codes for Palo and Remy, Adults-Only Restaurants for Guests 18 and Older

So that we may provide an enjoyable and refined dining experience for all Guests, please be advised that tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted at Palo or Remy. We thank you for your understanding and your cooperation with the following dress requirements

At Palo: The elegant northern Italian-inspired dining venue aboard all 4 ships.

Dinner and Brunch
  • Men: dress pants or slacks and collared shirt; jacket is optional
  • Women: dress, skirt or pants with a blouse
  • Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes)

Just another "let's dumb down the cruise experience" move on DCL's part, in my opinion. I agree that jeans just don't fit the (theoretical) up-scale feel of Palo.

If you talking about the MDR "dress code" it doesn't say anything about "no tee shirts". Only "no tank tops or swimwear".

Oh, I thought it used to. Oh well, some of the things I've seen people come to dinner in are......interesting (like pajama bottoms and slippers) to say the least LOL

I have never seen Disney ask anyone to leave the MDR in all our cruises because of what they were wearing.

While disappointing, I think most Palo and Remy guests will still adhere to the dress code. Others will figure it out after looking like bums. Or so is my hope

We can hope. I will say that it seems to me most people still dress up a little for the MDRs even though everything short of swimwear is permitted. So maybe people will still dress up for Palo. I know I will.

This is interesting! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

While I can see this for brunch, I'm surprised they are allowing it for dinner. Then again after seeing shorts, sweatsuits and a baseball cap at Palo brunch on my last cruise nothing should surprise me.

Wow, how will people eat dinner with the thought of the person sitting at the next table may or may not be wearing jeans (or shorts in MDR). Completely ruins the cruise experience when someone dresses differently than you, even though you won't see their pants unless you are paying attention when they arrive and/or leave. I mean, why would anyone possibly want to wear shorts or a short sleeve shirt while cruising the caribbean? I may never cruise again.

For the record, I would still wear slacks at Palo. But, if someone showed up in their swimsuit it would have absolutely no impact on me, except maybe a funny story for future conversations.

Good thing they mentioned 'Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes)'. There are some people who'd argue the holes in their jeans are fashion statements placed there by the designer. That may be, but they don't look like something I'd expect to see at a nice restaurant.

Just my opinion.
