 If I absolutely had to choose between the brunch or dinner in Palo, which should I do? Both sound wonderful! I am having such a hard time choosing! Your advise is very much appreciated everyone!

Dinner!!!!! There is nothing like having dinner with the one you love while seeing the moonlight over the sea!

Is there a reason you can't do both? If I had to choose I think I would choose dinner. The brunch has a big buffet (they do bring your main dish to you) and I'm not fond of buffets (I live in Vegas, need I say more? :) ) Still, even with the buffet, the brunch is really good. If you can do both, do it!

:D We would love to do both, but only if we can get ressies for the last night. From what I have heard, that is hard to do. We have late seating and four children. I just want this to be magical for all. Do you think dining in Palo the first night would be a better choice. We don't want to miss any of the great shows or the family fun! Does this depend on which restaurant we dine in first? Thanks!

We definitely preferred the Brunch. Our dinner was good, but no better (in our opinions) than the food in the dining rooms. Also, we really missed our regular servers the night we ate in Palo. They were a big part of our cruise experience. This year we'll only be doing the Brunch.

I agree with Michelemouse - the brunch is a "do not miss". First of all, it's daylight so you can actually see the spectacular view, the food is amazing, and you don't have to miss out on any meals in the regular dining room. Aside from the chocolate souflee at dinner, the meal wasn't any better than in the main dining rooms. If you want to try the souflee (it's incredible!!), you can go to the bar at Palo any evening and order one... you don't have to have dinner there.

OMGOSH!!!! I can't believe that. YOu settled my decision. I have a 3 year old and I don't think we'd be able to swing a dinner at Palo with the babysitting. So, I thought a brunch might be more up our alley. But I really didn't want to miss the chocolate Souffle!!! THANKS!!! I'm doing that on our next cruise...

I don't have any desire to try the souffle, but I would like to try the breads with the different dips...can you order that at the bar also ? I hope to get reservations for Tea, but other than that my DH and I will be eating with DS.

BOY!! THAT SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN FOR US TOO.

Even though our DGS is 11 and loves the clubs, we will be on the 7 day western for the first time and really want to experience all the meals in the regular dining rotation as the menus have changed since our last cruise.

We just loved the choco souffle the last time so now we'll go for after dinner drinks at Palo's and have a souffle along with that cream d'coco, baileys etc.

Thanks, didn't realized or remembered about the bar there.

Do you need reservations for the bar at Palo's? Is there a surcharge for just having dessert (I don't mind paying for good souffle)? This would pretty much solve my dilemma of brunch/dinner ???'s All I really wanted out of dinner there was the souffle any way. (We have little ones, and have to depend on flounders reef ressies too, and I understand that they limit your number of sessions.):(

We did both brunch and dinner at Palo (on the same day - Thursday). We also double-dipped at dinner because we did not want to miss seeing our servers and we wanted to try the lobster tail. I was stuffed after brunch and ate almost nothing at our regular dinner seating. But I absolutely loved dinner at Palo. There is a HUGE difference between the food in the dining rooms and the food at Palo. The service is amazing as well. Try to do both if possible. You will be glad you did.

(I could not believe the amount of food DH ate that day, brunch at Palo - the stollen bread is to die for - two appetizers, lobster and lava cake for regular dinner, then another dinner with two deserts at Palo. I am surprized he didn't blow up)

Thanks everyone! The decision is made! I will do the mad dash as soon as we board and try to get reservations for both!

We haven't done the dinner yet, (we will in May though:Pinkbounc ) but we did the brunch last year. The brunch is one of the first of many reasons we rebooked for this year!::yes::

I also was just wanting to go there for the soufle. I had no idea you could go to the bar & order one. Can we just walk in?

You can just go to the bar, sit down, order a drink, and order the souflee. I don't know about the breads but I would assume they would bring the breads if you asked. You don't pay extra to sit at the bar (just for your drinks). Lots of people on our cruise went up there a couple of nights for the souflee.

feiste - I'm not sure... maybe someone else can answer that question but I don't see why you couldn't...
