Palo -- Brunch problems?

I know, I know -- this subject is worn out. But I can't find a previous thread that discussed getting ressies for Palo's brunch. We had to forego the REAS package, so we will be doing the ressie shuffle onboard. I have never eaten at Palo's yet and was wondering -- how early do you need to get to Rockin D Bar to get reservations for Palo's dinner and also Palo's brunch? I know the brunch is only on sea days, so has anyone had a problem getting in?

Thanks a bunch,

Cathy

We had never had dinner, but have done the brunch twice. I didn't have a problem with either one. THe first time I didn't even know about the reservation system and waited until the next day to make a reservation and we still had no problem. The last time I was one of the first to book the brunch. It is great. THe food at the buffet is great and the entree that they prepare for you is really good. We couldn't decide what we wanted so they made us two smaller portions of two different things to try.

Is the brunch only on the 7 day? We are doing the 4 day on the Wonder in May and I would love to try the brunch :)

Hi Minniegirl - I'm bumping this thread because I asked the same question about the 3-day - is there brunch on either the 3 or 4 day? anyone know?

YEA - now I have something else to look forward to on this cruise!

Thanks!!

We have never had a problem getting any ressies I wanted on the 7 day. We get to the port about 11-11:30, and never wait in line more than one or 2 people ahead for ressies.

The ressies are a lot tighter on the 4 day than on the 7.

Thank you all for your help. I don't feel so stressed now about those darn ressie rushes!

Dont panic if you dont get Brunch booked on embarkation: just call Palo 9am ish daily to see if they have any cancellations. We have done this a couple of times and struck lucky. DD wasnt working in Palo then, so we certainly did not get preferential treatment!haha. Nat:Pinkbounc

What is the REAS package?
Romantic Escape At Sea. It allows you to make reservations before embarkation, serves you breakfast in bed, and a couple of other things. Check for REAS in the title or look on the Disney website for a complete description.

We got into port about 10:30, and were let on the ship at 11:45--there were about 10 people in line for Palo dinners, but I was the first one for brunch.
No matter what, or how late you get there, try to get this one! It was so very awesome I can't describe it.
