Months ago, when we booked two back to back 3 night cruises on the Dream for Sept. 2015, DCL was still offering brunch on the days in Nassau. They have since discontinued that, much to our disappointment. We don't get off the ship in Nassau anymore and were planning on treating our friends who had never been on the Dream class ships to both brunches to celebrate their 20th anniversary. I have sent emails to DCL encouraging them to bring back the brunch options, even if they have to adjust Palo's offerings to cut down on waste. We also spoke to numerous officers while onboard last April hoping to change some minds on this. So far we have been unsuccessful.

I am wondering if we are the only ones who would like to see the brunch options brought back for the 3 night cruises, even if the restaurants rotate offering them. Feedback, please? And if you would like to see these return, I would encourage you to let DCL know. Thanks so much!

They had a test for a while and stopped it. Its up to DCL.

For many years since the Dream came into service there wasn't any, it was only recently they had a test.

IMHO The cruise is too short to support them there is so much to do in such a short time i say leave it to the Fantasy.

We were told that the turnout for the brunches was very low and that the waste of food was enormous. But we also found out that there wasn't a lot of information going to the guests that this was an option and that the test may have been prematurely ended. We've done 27 cruises with DCL , sailing on all 4 ships and always looked forward to the brunches. Your point about the brevity of the cruise is well taken. I just wonder how many folks opt, like us, not to go ashore in Nassau and would take advantage of a brunch if offered if they knew about it in advance. We will be on the Fantasy again in April and will do brunch then, but our friends, sadly, won't be with us for that one. Thanks for your feedback!

As a Florida resident, the 3 day Bahamas cruises are the most feasible for us to just take a long weekend and go. We were also super disappointed when they got rid of the brunch. We actually had one scheduled in April and got a email a few weeks before that it had been cancelled. We don't care much for Nassau, so it was nice to have a leisurely, delicious morning. I got a similar reply that it wasn't cost effective, so I'm not getting my hopes up that it'll come back. :(

Well you know I share your disappointment. Thanks for replying. I may still try talking to folks when we are onboard. This time we are staying in Concierge and I will try making my case there too. thanks again.
