Palio's Replacement

I heard Palio at the Swan is now closed and another italian restaurant is going in. Has anyone heard anything?

Last I heard was it's supposed to reopen as "Il Mulino". If you go to their website (Il Mulino.com), you'll see an Orlando location coming soon. I know it's reopening as an Italian restaurant and it will be contracted out like Shula's and Blue Zoo at the Dolphin...so it is highly likely this is the case.

I hope it is as good as Palio!! It was one of our favorite restaurants, we were so sad to see it close I will have to check out the website -- thanks for the info!!

its sad to see palio's go even though last time in feb this year the waitress screwed up my order but did bring a big plate of the right veal the 2nd time around there veal parm and pasta was to die for will really miss that place was a must every recent trip and even planned to have a wedding dinner there one day well all the good go way to early i will give the new place a try

Il Mulino is consistently rated the top Italian restaurant in NYC. A few years ago, you could not even get in there on the weekends.

It's supposed to be AMAZING!!!!

I actually sent them an e-mail to find out exactly where in Orlando they were opening but I got a reply that they didn't have any info at this time. I've never been to it and I see they have a location right here in NYC. Looks like a very nice and "pricey" restaurant.
