I was wondering if anyone had tried Palio. The menu looks interesting, but my husband isn't real sure about it. One of his concerns was that it would be expensive with smalll portions. Any info?

Thanks

We did not find the portions to be small. While some of the prices could seem high compared to, say, a Mama Melrose, we found the portion size to be more than fair, and the 'value' for the meal was above average for WDW.
Hope that helps.

We ate there in 1998 on our honeymoon and found it to be wonderful! Granted, that was 6 years ago...

We were there last December. Just stopped in for a light snack. Service and atmosphere were great. I would definitely go back for a full diner.

We ate there last October. It was one of our favorite meals at WDW! Having lived in Italy for three years, we dislike many Americanized dishes that are served at "Italian" restaurants here in the staes....but Palio offered dishes that were true Italian meals. Highly recommend it. The portions are large (even the kids protions are big), although I will admit it is still pricey.
We went for an early dinner (1730 I think) because we had our 1 1/2 year old son with us and we didn't want to disturb anyone's dinner.

Have been to Palio several times and enjoyed it very much each time. It is an upscale Italian dining experience, so it is relatively expensive, but it has excellent food and a good wine list. Definitely worth a visit.

We had our anniversary dinner there last fall and it now has become one of our favorites. I think you'll truely enjoy your experience there.

I had the lobster tortellini a couple of months ago and the portion was huge! I could only finish about half of it. But it was very yummy with a surprising generous amount of lobster.

Oh yes I've had that yummy lobster tortelloni as well, definitely a dish 2 people can split (by the time you have the breads, an appetizer, salad, etc---way enough!) Many of the other dishes are quite large in portion.

We really like PALIO, we try to get here whenever we go to WDW. Food has been very good, from the lobster tortelloni to a delicious flatbread pizza. You don't have to just go for the expensive dishes:p Many of the prices there are comparable to many of the nicer WDW restaurants.

There's a strolling guitarist which makes for a nice romantic atmosphere yet it's a very kid friendly place, our 5 yr old dd had lots of fun with the last server who waited on us and they were extremely accomodating when it came to her dinner.

I highly recommend it! Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere:p
