I don't know if any of the accusations are true or not, but I would think Senator McCain could easily put it all to rest if he were to make a statement about it.
Exactly.

We are Republicans that supported and voted for McCain. I didn't say that he is directly behind all this trash that's coming out against Palin. At the end of the day, his campaign staff is proving, once and again, how pathetic and disjointed they really are. In the end, like it or not, it reflects poorly on Mc Cain and his choices.
The party elite weren't happy with the choice to begin with, and feel that she's an easy target now. The funny thing to me is that John McCain wouldn't have gotten my vote without her.

The media dislikes her for one reason. She intimidates them. They are not used to having someone thrust upon them who could really care less what the media thinks of them. She is smart, truthful, articulate, and has a track record of not putting up with any crap. The media can't handle someone telling them how it's gonna be, so they try to destroy her because they know that when she is in a position of power, she won't put up with their stunts, or their lies, and they'll have nothing they can do about it. She scares them (but in a good way) because she is not the "norm".
The more the media dislikes her, the more I love her. I hope she understands just how much those of us in the "lower 48" who supported her in this election would love to continue that support in the years to come.![]()

INTIMIDATES? SMART????????? and PALIN in the same sentences?![]()

Although I don't care for her personally, and I never supported her, I'm really beginning to feel bad for her. They used her like a pawn to suit their purpose, and now they're tossing her aside. It's despicable.![]()
It is kind of gross isn't it?? We're not in high school anymore...GROW UP!! McCain staffers

And you thought "Mean Girls" was bad. Welcome to "Mean Politics".
They are trying to blackball her but they may not be successful.
As far as I can tell her base came to the polls.![]()

OMG I just heard what FOX is saying about her. Unbelievable!
They said it was off the record until now![]()
You summed it up well. This isn't rocket science people.
1. McCain's aides were paid to win an election.
2. They lost.
3. They'd like to work again, but who wants to hire losers?
4. Therefore, they must convince potential future clients that their client lost due to an independent intervening cause (Palin).
Why do you think McCain campaign staffers are thowing SP under the bus?
I don't intend for this to be a thread bashing Palin. I would like to know people's theories on why this is happening.

absolutely. Common sense doesn't come in the form of ivy league degrees. We've had more than one shining example of that fact from both sides of the political fence.
What we are seeing here could be reflective of a much deeper issue within the Republican party, rather than one or two people (like Romney staffers) saying bad things. absolutely. I'm confused.
What does any of this have to do with Sarah Palin????![]()
If you call Sarah Palin stupid, you are calling the entire state of Alaska stupid, as they happily voted her in, and she holds the highest approval rating EVER for a sitting governor of any state.
Mixed Reception at Home
Two months ago, Palin was the GOP's rising star, credited with energizing the party's conservative base and infusing new life into Arizona senator John McCain's presidential campaign.
But now that the election is over, Palin goes back to Alaska to a mixed reception.
"When she left, she was almost universally liked, universally approved of," explained Alaska pollster Ivan Moore. "Her approval rating was up over 80 percent. Then she went down onto the national campaign trail and her approval rating has come down to 60 percent and her negative rating has pretty much tripled."

That's ridiculous because the entire country of America is not stupid and they voted in a simpleton twice and bought the WMD crapola with open arms.
As for her "approval rating" and this is from the Christian Broadcasting Network:

So much for Alaska cheering her on.![]()
