Hamas fighters have overrun much of Gaza, capturing key security buildings and hailing Gaza's "liberation".

More than 100 people have died during a week of violent battles on the streets of Gaza.

Basically the two rival factions are fighting BIG time. Hamas doesn't even recognise Israel's right to exist, but they're overrunning the more secular Fatah movement.

I've heard about this. Personally Isreal is the holy land and I believe that no one should touch them. If I wasn't religous I still wouldn't touch Isreal, just in case I was wrong. We won't know until we go and I would rather not take my chances.

I look at it this way, If there is a God and I choose not to believe what have I lost??? Everything. If there isn't a God and choose to believe then what have I lost?? Nothing.

Just my personal belief.

Should we re-start the discussion about the establishment of Israel? How about we just sympathise with all victims of violence and racism worldwide?

I wonder why Abbas waited so long to ask for assistance? This clash has been coming for some time. I heard earlier on NPR that Abbas has today asked Israel to send in arms for Fatah. They refused, knowing that the weapons would eventually be used against Israel by Hamas.
