Just wondered if the Pal Mickey's were worth the money...

Think it would be a great souvenier, but $65 is alot of money.

Any tales of when you got them, and if you thought they were worth the price tag would be greatly appreciated

We have two. One we bought and one was given to us from someone that we helped plan a trip for. We have four kids from 7 to 13 years old and they all enjoyed them. We go to WDW about 2-3 times per year and the last trip (at spring break) the Mickey's never left the room. I liked the park tips "Peter Pan only has a 10 min. wait " and " the parade will start in 5 min." Games on them are cute. I do think they are worth it for entertainment in line. If you remember to bring them. I have also seen them on ebay for a little less. Like anything though when bought at WDW if something happens while there it is taken care of with no questions asked. I have a funny PAL Mickey story . . . My parents and my son were at AK looking at some animal with a kinda big group of other people and the CM was telling the crowd about the animal . . . then here comes PAL Mickey with VERY detailed information on the animal. My Mom said everyone got quiet and when Mickey was done the CM said "Oh, he does it better than I do" She said it was really funny

Anyway, don't know if it's worth the money, but I'm glad we got it. It's a cute souvenir! ~ and we bought it our first time to DW . . . not planning on returning for a LONG time (we'll be there again this December).

Can you get them anywhere that's not the Disney parks?

You can get PAL Mickey delivered to your door….call Merchandise Guest Services – 407-363-6200….$65 + $14.?? Shipping….15-20 days to arrive…I ordered one a few days ago to give to my son before we leave 9/2.

You can also try E-Bay. That's where mine came from. I paid $40, plus $10 to ship. He's usually about $65 in the parks, so I saved some money to spend on other Disney souvies! And yes, he was brand new, still in the box. The newest model is sorceror Mickey , the model before wears a gold tuxedo and is for the 50th Anniversary of DL. Can't remember what the first is. You can also buy little outfits for him. I pointed out the safari outfit to the DH, and said how nice it would be for Pal Mickey to have clean clothes waiting for him in our room!

I bought my Pal Mickey from Laughingplacestore.com. Don't remember the cost, I got it for my ds for x-mas 2yrs ago. He loves to hear Mickey talk to him. I'd love to get new clothes for him...guess I'm going back to that site and see if they sell the clothes too!!

We got one off ebay and can't wait to use him... At the very least, we're hoping it will occupy the our DD5 while we are waiting and such.. keeping her entertained will def. make our visit much nicer...

I got my Pal Mickey on ebay for $45. He is the brand new one with the Sorcerer outfit on!! Someone bought him for a trip and he never left the room so they sold him. He's great!! We love him!! My step kids are 8 and 5 and Pal Mickey is very entertaining in line. He IS a little on the heftier side. He's not super heavy, but he's he not a light stuffed toy either. I usually end up carrying him or he sits in the "kid transporter" with the kids.

Someone said they bought theirs at the Laughing Place store...just a word of caution,the prices on that site are hugely inflated, so I'd try ebay or even Disneyworld first!! Also, you can get the older versions of PM for pretty cheap on ebay as well. He works exactly the same as the new one...just different clothes!

How sad would it be for me to get myself a PAL Mickey? I'm 23, lol!

I'd love one, but I'm not sure if I'd get sick of having to carry him around! Although I'm sure he'll fit into our backpack, even though it'll be a tight squeeze!!

DH and I have one, and we love it! DH takes him around on his belt. Pal Mickey comes with a belt clip. We've had a lot of positive/magical CM and character interaction with him.

We got suckered into getting one last week for our first trip. We figure Pal has to come back year after year so we got one to share between our 2 sons. My 8 year old loved him. Pal gave last minute information like when we were at MGM, "the parade will be at 2:30 instead of 2", something like that. He hated the clip, so I bought a lanyard for extra 5 bucks and he carried it across his shoulder and it worked great

A few things about Pal Mickey, don't EVER use the Lithium batteries intended for digital cameras. They are way too powerful for Mickey. A CM at AK last year replaced our batteries with Lithium, and poof Mickey no longer spoke. Took him to the Emporium(I think that's what it's called on Main St. at MK) they replaced Mickey no problems. He was the original Pal Mickey from 2004 but no problem as it was CM error. As for buying clothing for Pal Mickey, we saw them at gift shops at all the parks where they sell Pal Mickey.

We got the ones they sold for pins. They have velcro. We just put it through the loop on Pal where they put the clip.
