Pal Mickey's size

I've read through a bunch of threads on the Pal Mickey toy but none of them address my #1 and #2 questions -- how big is it and how much does it weigh? I really like the concept, but am concerned about carrying it all day.

Thanks!

I personally think it is big. I would guess it would be called a 16" plush. That is what we used to call about that size when I worked at TDS. It seemed like they were in all of the stores and resorts, but I only saw one family with one. It was a Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and probably first Grandbaby.

They had so much stuff and the poor Grandpa had the thing hooked to his belt loop. I always imagined that I'd feel like it was a pain to carry around and they made it look like it was a pain.

JMHO.

I measured mine before I posted. I don't find it hard to carry around at all. I have it for all the visitors I take to the parks and no one yet has complained about carrying Pal Mickey.

Thanks for the information. I think I can handle carrying a pound of Mickey. I hear that the current version of Mickey has a lanyard and can be worrn like a necklace. is this correct?

Another question about Mickey -- after he talks, can you get him to repeat the last thing he said? I can imagine a situation where Mickey says something entertaining but because of noise someone in the party might have missed it.

Thanks again!

I bought one last May and used it on that trip, I thought it was a neat idea- but I never felt like carrying it so he usually ended up stuffed in my backpack.

I took him back to WDW on our December trip and he stayed in the room the whole trip- we forgot to take him to the parks :rolleyes1

I ended up selling him on eBay b/c I just didn't feel like carrying it and worrying about losing it or breaking it. -Stephanie

12 inches isnt that big its pretty small for a stuffed animal. If youve been to Build-A-Bear Workshop (i work there) its a few inches smaller than our smallest bear, to give you an idea.

Im going to make a little "harness" for my Pal Mickey and tie it onto the shoulder of my backpack so we dont have to carry him! I carry a backpack with all our stuff in it anyways so I think that will be pretty convienient. Also we sell a bear carrier a kid could carry on their chest at BABW. Sorry if that sounds liek an ad but i think it would be an easier way for a kid to carry thiers. Im guessing other toy stores carry similer things. I hope this helps!!!

I read in an ebay ad that mickey is 10 and 1/2 inches and that if you press is tummy or hand within 15 sec of him saying something, he'll repeat it.

The ad also says mickey retails for $60 at the park, is that true? And what kind of batteries does he take?

:goodvibes OK, only for the Dis board would I put My Pal Mickey on a scale!

Mickey weighs 15 oz. He is 10 1/2 inches long from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. If you measure from the top of his ears he would be 12 inches.

My Pal hangs on my backpack shoulder strap. I tried to have him hang from a lanyard around my neck but found the lanyard uncomfortable. Having him on my shoulder strap I can hear everything he has to say no matter how loud my surroundings are. Mickey has been on 3 trips with me, and goes everywhere DH and I go at WDW. I have more pictures of him "eating" and riding rides than I do of DH! ;)

If you want him to repeat something he just said you have 15 seconds to press his hand and he will be happy to retell you anything. He uses AA batteries, and about 1 week of park hopping and he'll need a new set.

My Pal Mickey is definetly my pal! :goodvibes
