PAL Mickey???????

I'm going to WDW in December and was thinking of purchasing the PAL Mickey...But somewhere heard they are coming out with a new version to go with the 50th Celebration!!!!!!!!!

Any truth to this????? And are these things really woth the $$$$$$$$$$

We enjoy using Pal Mickey when we bring new guests to the park. Yes they are coming out with a special one.

Worth the bucks we paid for him and have taken him back on several trips.He does up date his information on each trip.I have heard they are coming out with a special Pal Mickey.I can't point you to something offical on that but have seen several posts saying they were.

Pal Mickey is set to update automatically when he is inside or near the parks. Its my understanding that the "new "pal mickey is the same mickey just wearing a "updated outfit for the 50th Anniversary

I used our PM in November, no problems. My neighbor went to the World in February and I loaned her our PM. She returned and said he didn't work, would just vibrate. Said she took him into a shop but the CM had no idea what was wrong. He tells the jokes so it's not that his voice isn't working. She also put in new batteries. Just wondering if this ever happened to anyone. We are returning in May and wanted to bring him along!

The New Pal Mickey will have new jokes, new games and more theme park/ride interaction than the first version. The first version only updates in the areas of line length advice, character greetings and show/parade times, at least in my experience with him on the last three trips.

Yes, it is true. AP holders can even get a special annual passholder pal mickey shirt for free with the purchase of this new pal mickey.
