I am thinking about purchasing a Pal Mickey for my DGD when we go in Dec. Can anyone tell me how big it is? I'm not sure if she would want to have to carry it around in the parks with her if it is too big and I know that I won't want to have to carry it for her.
Thanks for your help. :wave2:

It is about 10" tall. To get an idea, find a stuffed animal about that tall and that would give you a good idea of what it is like. Our DD 6 carries him around the parks all the time. We got a water bottle strap and put him on that instead of the belt clip, not as easy to lose him this way.

What exactly is Pal Mickey and is he worth the $$? My mom was trying to decide whether or not to buy this for my niece for our December family trip. Do they offer a Pal Minnie instead (my niece is into princesses and girly things)?

WE WERE AT DISNEY WORLD 2 WEEKS AGO AND MY SON GOT A PAL MICKEY AND I MUST SAY I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND 60.00 ON IT BUT IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY. HE NEVER ASKED ME TO CARRY IT, BECAUSE IT WAS ALWAYS TELLING HIM INFORMATION AND HE LOVED IT. ON THE FLIGHT HOME HE ALSO ENJOYED IT BECAUSE IT CAN ALSO BE A GAME AND IT TELLS JOKES.

I love my Pal Mickey!! To me, he is definately worth the $$$!! In fact I was lucky to have purchased him when he first came out and he was only $50.00 then, he's $60.00 now.

I have used him on two trips and plan on taking him this coming June. As for the information he provides, he'll remind you about an hour before the parades are to begin to select your viewing spot, he'll tell you if there is a show about to being (i.e. the stage show in front of the castle), if there is a short line at an attraction he can let you know, he will point out things of intrest that you may not have noticed (i.e. the "stone" alligator in AK), other times he will share a silly or corny joke. He vibrates when he has something to share. You squeeze his tummy and he gives you the message. If you need to hear it again or want someone else to hear, you simply squeeze his hand and he will repeat what he just said.

When not in a park you can enjoy 3 games he will play with you.

He comes with batteries and they lasted us through two trips. He also comes with a belt clip which we didn't use because he speaks rather softly and with all the park noise he was alittle hard to hear if you didn't have him close to your ear. No volume control!

If you aren't sure you will be happy with him, why not rent him for a day. If you decide to purchase him, they will deduct the $8 daily rental from the selling price. I think you will find him fun. Our biggest problem was SHARING him. All the girls did was say "It's my turn now. She had him a long time!!" (And it was usually ME being the Mickey-hog!!! LOL

I think Pal Mickey is worth the money also :) but if you're not sure about spending $60, he's available for rental (I think it's $8/day).

There's more info about Pal Mickey on Deb's site...

We are gearing up for a trip in November with my Dad and my brother's family. Dad has been watching all the WDW shows on the Travel Channel, and I got him the vacation planning video... he saw Palm Mickey on the video and HE wants one! He's a big 70 year old kid! of course... we'll have to get him one!
