I have a Pal Mickey which I bought a couple of weeks ago for 50p ($1) and the seller said it is in good working order as they used it when they went to WDW Florida and it was a great help to them as it told then where all the shorter ride queues were and what characters were nearby. It is the older version of what I call "Classic Mickey" of him wearing his red shorts (like in my avatar) and has a clip on the back of his head. Can I use it in Disneyland Paris or do they only work in the park where they were purchased from? I am hoping to take it with me (if it works!) to the park next year when we go.

Pal Mickey only works at WDW, and even then it is very sporatic I am afraid. Biggest rip off in my experience.

edit - rip off referring to paying full price at WDW, 50p is a bargain for the toy itself.

A bargain at 50p but it will only work in WDW I am afraid :goodvibes

Many thanks for your help :wizard: I think I'll leave him at home when we visit DLRP. I had horrible feelings that if he did work in DLRP, would he speak in French? :lmao:

I couldnt believe that he only wanted 50p, I have seen them go for much more than that

What a bargain!! :thumbsup2

Although he'll only work 'properly' at WDW you should be able to play games with him at home. :)

We have a pal mickey that we got at Walt Disney World a few months ago. We paid full price for ours, what a bargain yours was :cool1: . But we were at WDW for three weeks and my son took it everywhere with him and LOVED it, so it was well worth the money for him. A friend of mine just got back from WDW after a 3 week trip there and both of their girls got one and both of them loved theirs also, so she felt it was worth the price.

My son wants to take his pal mickey to DLRP when we go in December, but I have explained to him that he won't work there, he only works at WDW, but he doesn't care, he wants to take him anyway :confused3 . He probably won't carry it around the parks like he did at WDW, pal will probably just hang out in the hotel room for the week watching the disney channel or something whilst we are out exploring the parks :happytv:

So like everyone has told you above, he won't work at DLRP, to see him work in all of his glory you will have to wait for a visit to WDW.

Thats probably what I'll end up doing :rotfl:

We took ours last Halloween. My youngest DD bought him a pumpkin outfit from Build a Bear and took him into the parks some days. Quite a few people stopped us to remark on him so he was quite an ice-breaker :goodvibes even if he couldn't do his 'proper' job! ;)

I'm sure you'll have fun taking yours, even if he does end up room-sitting. :)
