I've been keeping track.

There are some folks on these boards who are CMs, or know CMs, and the scuttlebutt is that the "new" PM's will be announced very soon.

Only DISNEY (and time) will tell for SURE.

p.s. The rumor mill says there MIGHT also be a "Pal Pooh" but that seems less likely to me... who knows?

Everything I read says these are probably not worth it. I don't care. I really want one! I've resisted buying one for a long time but I'm pretty sure it's going to be my next Disney present to myself.

Oh, I think THAT's an "overstatement".

There are THOUSANDS of happy Pal Mickey "buddies" in the world.
There is a website devoted to him, too.

You can now buy 4 different outfits for your Pal (either version is the same size) at WDW shops.

Some CRAZY people even design and create their OWN CUSTOM outfits for him to wear in the parks.

(BTW, you can count me and my DW as among the "CRAZY".)

So would you laugh if you saw a mickey in a kilt? I'm tempted to go to the bear factory and pick up a traditional scottish outfit.

We love to see any "custom" PM outfits.

And lots of the CMs (who see the "same old" PM standard outfits all the time) like to talk to us and ask about our Pal's "unique" outfits.

We had a Jungle Cruise pilot grab our Pal and squeeze him (so he'd talk) and held him to the microphone. He told our boat group that Mickey could host that trip.

We even dress PM like a Farmer (straw hat, overalls, checkered bandana) and take him to "The Garden Grill" character lunch at The Land in Epcot.
Mickey Mouse himself (dressed as a farmer) walks around in the restaurant greeting guests who are dining there.
When Mickey comes by our table to visit, he can see our Pal dressed "just like him" (the "real" mickey).
Mickey always seems quite surprised and holds up our Pal and points to his own straw hat and outfit, then to PM's.

The "special" outfits can be a bit of extra trouble... but they make for extra fun in the parks.
