Hi! I was just wondering if anyone knew how much the Pal Mickey is, and is it worth it? I have a two year old that loves Mickey Mouse and I figured it would occupy him in the long July lines!!!

I got one for my niece (4 at the time) for Christmas, because we were taking a solo trip in January and I thought it would be neat. It was a bit hard to hear him when he spoke, but other than that she loved him. We did end up leaving him in the room after a day or two because we just weren't using him to his full potential. That being said, she now LOVES that doll and plays with him all the time.

I don't know how much he is through Disney, I purchased one from Ebay for about $20 (with shipping/handling). I'd go the Ebay route, it's much cheaper than the original ticket price.

The plan was to get one for all of us to share, but our 12yods glommed onto him - he loved all the trivia that Mickey told him as we went through the parks - and we wound up having to get another one for the 9yo, which he shared with the 2yo. Now that we're home she, too, wants her own. The boys aren't crazy about letting her play with theirs (afraid she'll wreck 'em), so guess we'll be getting another one when we go back. They're about $50, so not cheap, but we really do think it was worth it. It was fun having Mickey with us in the park, and he kept the kids company on the long trip home. They still get theirs out and play the games once in awhile, and are planning to take 'em back with us next time we go. They'll have him for as long as they want to keep him, to remind them of our first trip there. We wanted the newer version because his voice can be heard better in the parks, but you can get the older ones cheaper on ebay etc.

Last I knew he was running around $65. We bought him for $60 and he was great. One problem he isn't very loud so you have to hold him up to your ear everytime he has something to say. My son got a kick out of him, told us where to find characters and gave us tips while we were walking around the world.

At home he plays games and tells jokes. We took him for on a second trip and he still worked great, my son got tired of it and didn't want to carry him :mickeyjum anymore so he ended up in our back pack for most of that trip.
