The plan was to get one for all of us to share, but our 12yods glommed onto him - he loved all the trivia that Mickey told him as we went through the parks - and we wound up having to get another one for the 9yo, which he shared with the 2yo. Now that we're home she, too, wants her own. The boys aren't crazy about letting her play with theirs (afraid she'll wreck 'em), so guess we'll be getting another one when we go back. They're about $50, so not cheap, but we really do think it was worth it. It was fun having Mickey with us in the park, and he kept the kids company on the long trip home. They still get theirs out and play the games once in awhile, and are planning to take 'em back with us next time we go. They'll have him for as long as they want to keep him, to remind them of our first trip there. We wanted the newer version because his voice can be heard better in the parks, but you can get the older ones cheaper on ebay etc.
