My kids really want Pal Mickey, but at $65 each, that's expensive, I have been calling the warehouse in Orlando but then have not gotten any in recently, I checked EBAY, also expensivce, anyone have any other ideas where to get them cheap?

Thanks so much

I just purchased one because I've been looking on Ebay and they're going for almost as much as new ones. I figured, I'd try it and if I don't like it that much, I'll sell it on Ebay and get most of my money back. Of course then I said something and my dd had a fit and said...Don't sell it!!!

So that might be a thought. Buy it and resell it later! LOL

Be sure when you search Ebay you put "pal mickey" in quotes and check the box to include the description i your search. I did that I got a NEW Anniversary :bounce: version Pal Mickey for $40 including shipping!

Have you checked your local FreeCycle group? Someone may have one they'll let you 'borrow" just don't actually ASK to borrow it because that's against FreeCycle policy.

What I did was ask if anyone had one they no longer need for the weeks I was going. I had a lady e-mail asking if I'd like to borrow hers. Good deal!

But...now the flip side. We took it to the MK with us, where it was used for a few hours then put up. My 6yo daughter wanted to carry it and got tired of listening to it tell the same jokes, it got heavy, even put on a <think they are called Lanyards> to make it easier to carry, so into the stroller he went.

They are VERY hard to hear in the park and having to hold it to your ear to hear quickly lost it's appeal.

If you really must have one, check your local FreeCycle list, or try Craigslist if you live in a bigger city. And you can always buy one then sell it on ebay when you are done.

I agree. We got the pal mickey last year and the fun of it didnt last. Plus ours didnt go off half the time to alert us of stuff in the parks. We quit taking it to the park after the 2nd day. Convince them they can get something else at the parks and I am sure it will be less money for you too.

We bought our Pal Mickey at the Disney outlet in St Augustine for $13.99 or so back in October. We took him to the Cinema on Main Street where a very grumpy CM (named Walt of all things!) updated him for us and put fresh batteries in him. Mickey just made his 2nd trip with us last week. I would have been mad if I had spent more than that for him though. He does get heavy and the kids get tired of lugging him around. He is very hard to hear in the noisy parks too. Mickey also constantly told us about things going on in the MK while we were at the Contemp too.
