I got a Pal Mickey when we were at WDW in November. We had a great time with him and my husband thought he was pretty cool, too. The clip is hard to keep on if you try it on your waistband, but I had good luck clipping him onto my fanny pack. You need to be sure his nose is facing out in order to get the info. If you have any trouble with him, you can stop into any of the stores that sell him and they'll help you out.
We just got back last night from another trip, and he was fun to have around and said different things than he did in November. We met friends whose 10 and 12 year old begged to carry him. Also, my 6 yo grandson thinks his jokes are hilarious, and they're pretty much geared to that age range. One of his favorites is, "What did one shark say to the other shark after eating the comedian? Does this taste funny to you?"
When my friends raise their eyebrows at me walking around the parks with a stuffed animal hanging off my fanny pack, I just say, "Where else can a 50 year old woman walk around with a Mickey Mouse and not draw attention?" There are huge football player-looking guys wearing mouse ears, for pete's sake!
Is he worth $60? That depends, I think, on how often you get to the parks and how much you think you'll play with him at home. I probably wouldn't have gotten one if I didn't know we had another trip coming up, and if I didn't have grandkids at home that I knew would get a kick out of him. But for us, he's been worth it.
