Is he worth the money and would you buy him again or was it not worth the money. Thanks

To us he was worth the money. We are taking him back with us this next week. He really entertained the kids, they took turns attaching him to their fanny packs. Even my 10 year old son loved him (don't tell anybody though!). I think you can rent him however if you are hesitant to drop that $60.

He's pretty neat, but it can be a pain carrying him around after a few hours.

You aren't able to rent anymore. I had posted another thread about that but was told it isn't an option anymore so thought I would see others opinions whether he was worth it or not. We are only going to the park for one day so don't think it really is but thought I would get others opinions.

Love him, would buy him again and again. Can't wait to take him on our next trip (and we're two adults, no kids!)

What exactly does he do? I've seen him in the stores, but haven't paid a lot of attention.

We love ours, as you walk through the turnstiles the informaton is updated so as you go through the park he will vibrate whenever there is something to tell you. There are little tidbits about different sections of each park and he will also alert you before a special event to let you know it is happening. You can also play games with him, he asks questions and then you would press his hands to respond. My kids had a great time with in the park and on the buses playing games. The only problem we had was hearing him in some sections of the park, if there is alot of noise you have to put him close to your ear to hear what he is saying. We just clipped him to our backpack so there wasn't a problem carring him around. We will be bringing him back with us in March, since he updates at the turnstiles everytime you go there will be new things that he says.

Outside of the parks, he plays games (if you squeeze his hand and his belly, he talks and plays different memory games about the park, etc) but the best part is when he is IN WDW sensors throughout the parks download information via his nose. He then vibrates when he has something to tell you. You squeeze his hand, and he tells you a joke, a fact about something you have just walked by, information regarding an event at the park that is just about to start, etc. Walking around World Showcase was a riot as he was vibrating every few minutes! He adds another dimension of 'interactive'!

I got mine for $29.plus at the Toy Warehouse in Miami when they were running the sale a few months ago. It was posted on several forums. Ordered him and had him in just few days. We just took him (Jan 9th-Jan 15th) to WDW. There is no way I would pay the $60.00 for him. He is very difficult to hear in the parks, unless you put him close to your ear. He is constantly vibrating to tell you something and is very distracting. My 8 y/o GD became bored with him very quickly and I was stuck with him. My son asked me how much I paid for him and said he would buy me another one at the end of the trip, if I would throw this one in a lake somewhere. Personally though I enjoyed him, even if we did have to stop every few minutes to see what he wanted. The day we had him in AK he vibrated and chattered all day. I'm doing a solo trip in May and plan on taking him back with me. If you get one be sure to turn his battery off every night, because the battery will run down fairly quickly. I played with mine for a few days right after I got him and then put him up for the trip without turning him off. A couple of weeks later when I got ready to pack him, his batteries were dead (you have to have a screwdriver to replace his batteries by the way). Also I had heard his clip was difficult to keep on--so not wanting to take a chance of losing him, I put a multipurpose zip tie (like carpenters and plumbers use around his neck and then through the key chain on a harbinger clip and then zipped it tight around his neck so we could easily clip him on and off our fanny pack or backpack strap and sure enough I would glance down and his clip would be unclipped while the harbinger clip was still secure. Worked like a charm. Again I liked him, but my son and GD were both ready to strangle him by the end of the week. He is currently sitting up in the top of my closet (battery off) so I see him every time I open my closet.

my dh thought I was crazy when I asked for him for Christmas, but when we were there from 1/12-1/18 - he loved him too! Yes, he is difficult to hear, but you can make him repeat what he said by squeezing his hand - I can't wait to bring him again in October and I'm going to get him a costume! pirate:

I personally wouldnt buy one he is a pain to carry althou i like a suggestion above to put another clip type because yes his clip doesnt do that great of a job.... thats what i found i didnt like. I bought him for my grandmother's birthday trip down their. and I could barly get her to carry him.... "It doesnt look right for a 59 year old to carry a stuffed animal" Is what she told me consequently she gave him to me so he lives with me...He was hard to hear at the parks I often had to repeat what he said a million times.....with alll this said we are going back in augest possible and if i can find a good clip so i know he wont fall off ill bring him and give him another shot

The electronics inside can't be that large. Perhaps they could make a smaller Pal Jiminy. He could say things like "Listen to your conscience...buy that souvenir, go to that character meal, upgrade your room."

I got a Pal Mickey when we were at WDW in November. We had a great time with him and my husband thought he was pretty cool, too. The clip is hard to keep on if you try it on your waistband, but I had good luck clipping him onto my fanny pack. You need to be sure his nose is facing out in order to get the info. If you have any trouble with him, you can stop into any of the stores that sell him and they'll help you out.

We just got back last night from another trip, and he was fun to have around and said different things than he did in November. We met friends whose 10 and 12 year old begged to carry him. Also, my 6 yo grandson thinks his jokes are hilarious, and they're pretty much geared to that age range. One of his favorites is, "What did one shark say to the other shark after eating the comedian? Does this taste funny to you?"

When my friends raise their eyebrows at me walking around the parks with a stuffed animal hanging off my fanny pack, I just say, "Where else can a 50 year old woman walk around with a Mickey Mouse and not draw attention?" There are huge football player-looking guys wearing mouse ears, for pete's sake!

Is he worth $60? That depends, I think, on how often you get to the parks and how much you think you'll play with him at home. I probably wouldn't have gotten one if I didn't know we had another trip coming up, and if I didn't have grandkids at home that I knew would get a kick out of him. But for us, he's been worth it.

My DD got one and she took him with her the first time around, but last time she didn't want to carry him anymore. I don't know if we will be taking him with us this summer or not.

I saw some pictures that someone posted (don't remember where) that had him all dressed up in different outfits (I think they got them at the Build A Bear store). He was cute!

Personally, if they had had a choice, I would have rather had a pal Minnie!

We got ours for free from the Wayne Brady show, when he was at Epcot. It's nice, but I would not want to pay the full price for him.
