pal mickey updates?

Well, my wonderfully cheap Pal Mickeys arrived yesterday from the FL outlet store. One of them works when pushing his belly and the other doesn't (I'm thinking batteries). My question, though, is a that I thought someone said that there was a place to take them in the park for "updates". Can anyone tell me more? We are not there until April.

The old Pal Mickeys can not be updated. Our Pal malfunctioned this October and we were able to "trade" him in on the newer one, they gave us $25.00 credit. DD loved her Pal and we hated just leaving him there but she was happy with the new one because he talked about the new things as well. We used him for two and a half trips so I'm hoping this one will last longer.

Not true...we bought the outlet Pal Mickeys earlier this year and the updated just fine each time we entered the turnstiles to a park in September.

So, Pooh, did he make some noise or say something that let you know he was updating when you went thru the turnstiles or did you go to a central location for updates? We've never done Pal Mickey at all so whatever he says will be "new to me". THANKS

He vibrates every time there is something new to tell you then you squeeze his hand to hear the update. If he doesn't vibrate when you go through the turnstiles (he didn't for us at the International Epcot Entrance) he usually will after walking into the park a bit. If you still don't feel him vibrate for messgaes, you can go to any main gift shop and they will help.
