One of my DH's coworkers bought a Pal Mickey for their child, and he thought it would be really cool for our DD2. I vaguely remember hearing something about it, but I was wondering if it was worth the money and any info you can offer about what it does, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Pal Mickey,he will vibrate when he as something to say, will give you park information. He will also tell some jokes and play a couple of interactive games. The little ones that I've seen seem to love him.We paid $60.00 for ours 3 years ago and have taken him back on each trip and he does update his information. Also at that time you could rent him for $8.00 a day and if you decided to buy they would apply your rental fee towards purchase price.I'm sorry I don't know if that program is still in effect. :goodvibes :wave2: :wizard:

From what I've heard they no longer rent Pal Mickey. We bought him and have loved having him! The tidbits of information were fun and helpful. Pal Mickey worked great on our first trip in mid-December (slow time at WDW). We went again in July and couldn't hear him over the noise around us. (Or maybe we just spent more time waiting in line and couldn't hear him there because of the noise of people talking!) Overall, the kids love him. They played games with him on the way home and after we got home too. Great souveneir for the whole family.

Probably not something a 2 yr old would appreciate, except as she would any stuffed animal. THe nose is hard plastic, you might want to watch out for that. The jokes/games will be something a child that young probably won't appreciate (and they're too simple for you to appreciate, most likely.) I would suggest waiting until she's older- that's alot of money for a stuffed animal.

My 3 kids love their Pal Mickey's. Youngest child was 4 when he got his. BUT, I am the one that ends up carrying all THREE around the parks! :confused3

I thought it was neat at first- but it ended up just being another thing to lug around so it stayed in the hotel room most of the time. I ended up selling mine on eBay.
