Ok, so (knit! crochet!), I've seen some Pal Mickeys on here wearing lanyards. Do you think that one of those lanyards would fit a Build A Bear? If so, where can I get one? Thanks!

My Rady!!!

rwrocksme - My lanyard on PM came from a Marie Osmond Disney Adora Belle doll that she dressed as a Stitch lover. The lanyard has velcro fitting in the back so that helps me remove it from the doll when PM borrows it for his Disney trips!

You might want to try some black grograin ribbon that is not too thin. Buy enough to fit around the bear's neck comfortabley after it is holding a few pins. Cut the ends and tap them with some fabric glue so they do not fray. But then stitch velcro onto the ends, and voila! Laynard for your bear!

Or... the dollar store sells (in bags of about 5) gold medals on red/white/blue ribbon. The ribbon could hold a small pin or too. And just knot it in the back to the size that fits bear nicely. Tuck any extra length of ribbon into back of his shirt. When brady and I cruised in January, I brought a pkg of the medals and gave them to fellow Pal Mickey owners. Let us know if this works.

Hey DisGal --

Thanks for the tip! I did see caps there, but thought that they would be too big. I didn't see any pennants, though. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough!

I'm heading back over to the mall tomorrow, so I'll check it out.

guiltymom - hey did you get your baseball cap? :wizard:

Yes, I did! I have yet to put it on Mick. I did purchase Mickey Mouse flannel at JoAnn's today to make him jammies, though...

I've been up to my neck in other sewing projects - hopefully I'll get around to Mick's wardrobe soon! I'll keep in touch.

Build a Bear sells lanyards as I saw them in the store today. Of course they have the bear paw prints. Yet still could use for Disney Pins if that is planning to do.

I made my Pal a lanyard by buying a black lanyard for a name badge at Staples. I cut off what I didn't need, then sewed ends back keeping the easy clip on/off part. So can easily pull it apart to take and put on. For the I made the WDW and/or pin trading symbol on the computer, printed it, laminated it, and clipped to end of lanyard.

Another idea, I found at Walmart a lanyard that had the piece you can push button to slip to make shorter or longer. Then can either tuck extra in back of the shirt, or cut off what is not needed. Knotting the ends but leaving enough room to still be able to slip/slide the length making it easy to get on/off over the head.

I see all many different sytles of lanyards at Walmart, some with smiley faces, pirate skull/bones, hearts, etc..... They each have a clip on end for either to carry keys, name badge, etc..... Would just have to cut to length needed or tuck in extra into shirt.

good luck

I have a new album on my online photo album.

Its the weekend of May 18-20 when I got to spend time with DisGal. With her came some friends, and another DISer, luvalldisney another friend of mine was there.

So the Pal's consist of DisGal's, luvalldisney's and mine. The Minnie's consist of luvalldisney' and mine.

Be sure to check on one pic for sure with the three Pal's with matching jackets which say on back Pal Mickey. Thanks to DisGal for making and giving luvalldisney and my Pal this jacket to match her Pal.

New Album May 18-20, 2007

I loved the photos! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Am I correct in guessing that the outfits you can by at WDW do not have pants/shorts with them?

You would be correct. WDW outfits i.e. safari, pin trading, pirate, MM Club, etc... do not come with pants/shorts. I guess they assume the red shorts if you have the first or second (HCOE) edition will be fine, or the blue shorts if you have the new Sorcerer edition is fine.

I found at jiminees.com their baby knit shorts fit Pal well.

Thanks for taking a peak at the new album.

Hey everyone! Back from WDW and on the road to recovery from my tummy tuck...thought I'd post a couple pictures from my trip that the photo pass photogs shot...

Hi everyone. This is a cool thread but I was wondering if I was the only guy that dresses up his pal Mickey. I have both the original pal Mickey and the 2nd generation Pal Mickey both of whom I call My Soul Pal Mickey. They have well over 50 different outfits including some homemade ones. So let me know.

By the way, how do you store his clothes at home and when you travel to WDW? Thanks.

It has been a while since Chuckie has traveled, and a long time since I have posted pictures.

I went to visit my sister Debi in Marietta, Ga in April.

Naturally since my flights didn't go well, I did not get a picture of him in the cockpit :lmao:
Chuckie had to model his Pirate outfit first.
Here he is at the usual picture taking place, my desk at work.

One thing we love to do is shop and Chuckie wanted to go along.
Here are a few things he liked.

He picked up on the turtle thing right away :lmao:

When my sister Debi and Cheryl went to WDW a few months ago, they went to the Pirate and Princess party and she had something for Chuckie. Here he is with the booty and also a fun pair of glasses.

100_1483.jpg

Chuckie had to hide with all of Debi's Tweety friends. Think someone has an obsession???? :lmao:

My sister does some pet sitting and Chuckie just loved meeting Prissy.

We also went to the Rennisance Faire and Chuckie had his picture taken with the Tortuga Twins. The Queen asked him to sit on her throne, and on the way out he met up with an ogre.

Last picture is of Chuckie and a Unicorn that Debi got. We just loved the color.

Terry great pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing.

jdgotter, at home Pal has his own 19 inch suitcase with his clothes stored in there. Since I live in Orlando I don't have to take like a whole vacation worth of clothing. I do have a small clear plastic backpack (the one that kids plates, cup, bowl come in at WDW) to carry a few things for a day trip.

The few times I have gone to stay on property, he has a kids pilot suitcase that has Mickey himself on the top (bought it at Kmart) I carry his clothes in that.

For cruises again I use the small clear plastic backpack but also found a larger one at Kmart that had some kind of toys in it, I think plastic animals, that I use to carry his clothes to go on DCL, then that goes in one of the several suitcases I carry on the cruise.

So Pal has his own suitcases and backpacks <G>

Do you know how many of these things I just got rid of? :rotfl2: Oh well...

Terry - great photos. It was a good smile for this morning.

jdgotter - welcome to the club! I'm a newbie myself but am getting addicted FAST! I don't know if I can wait until our October trip to purchase Pal Mickey clothes at the parks - I just may have to order them. I have no patience...

Hopefully I'll have at least another outfit made before we leave for our California trip to see my family. Unfortunately, no Disneyland trip this year - we're saving all our extra $$ for our WDW trip.

Keep those pictures coming!

Brady, thanks for all the info. I keep his clothes in Zip-Loc storage bags and also in the luggage space-bags at home. When I go to WDW, I put them in the luggage bags and pack them into my regular luggage.

I do the same, each outfit is in a ziplock bag, and in luggage space bags if not the clear plastic backpack.

Carrying extra outfits when at the parks these clear plastic backpacks (which I just carry my backpack on back of my power chair) though is great way to have another outfit for the day.

do you also write on ziplock bag what outfit is it, if needs something added like shoes? I do LOL. It may say white tux, needs black patent shoes, black socks, as I carry accessories like shoes, socks in their own bags

Ok I am so obsessed and OCD organized :rotfl:

No I don't write the name of the outfit on the ziploc bags. I usually just have one outfit with me at anytime..although I'll usually go back to the hotel room in the afternoon and change from the morning outfit to the evening outfit. I did the same when we went on the Cruise in February.
