Pal Mickey discontinued?

I just read this.

Pal Mickey, the interactive plush that was introduced in 2003, will be discontinued. Although Pal Mickey will no longer be available for purchase, the interactive plush will continue to operate in the four theme parks as they do today. Pal Mickey will continue to be sold until current stocks are depleted.

I didn't know whether I wanted to buy a Pal Mickey, but now I probably won't be able to (not going till next year) I want one!!! lol

we are very lucky as we bought the special edition mickey.

we absolutely love him and he comes everywhere with us.

I would definately buy one and they become good collectables now!!!


Try ebay they sometimes come up on there if you want to get one

I love Pal Mickey! I was hoping they would bring out Pal Minnie so that I could buy one for DD

If they are being discontinued then it won't be long before they appear in the outlet stores. Maybe we should get a list of those who want one and then when someone sees them in the sell off outlet store they can be got?

Oh dear - well I'll have to take even better care of mine then!

I still have one - I call him the "classic" Mickey as he is wearing his trademark shorts - dates back to 2003 / 2004? version 1.0. Only paid 20p for him from a car boot sale - from what the seller was telling me he is fully functioning and working, the only thing he didnt have was his lanyard (well, I have loads of them!!) and his instruction book. They found him a great use as he told them things to look out for and all that

He is in my collection - somewhere... just I don't know where he is

We are due to travel on 29th October this year and my daughter had saved some of her birthday present money to buy one. Where did you find out that they were to be discontinued? Also, when did you find this out - are we still likely to get one in october this year if there is still stock available?

What about the outfits? Are they going to stop stocking those as well?

I promised my DD a couple of outfits for her Pal Mickey but we don't go until next year I hope they still do them or does anyone know if you can buy them?

we were in wdw last week (missing it sooo much now!!), and bought a Pirate outfit for our Pal.. which was on sale at half price (about $6).. i guess that was a sign that they are to be discontinued too.. also the only two outfits that we saw to buy were the pirate one & the yellow poncho one.

its sad that he is being discontinued tho! i am glad we have one, he is easy to carry around on the lanyard & tells cute jokes that always make us smile!
