Pal Mickey 2.0 out yet?

Is he out yet? I know they stopped renting Pal Mickey's and there was talk of the new 2.0 version coming out for the 50th Celebration - so does anyone have any info on him? Does anyone know of any info about the 2.0 version? I know I read something somewhere; or am I making that up? I'm looking forward to picking one up in a few days!

We just got back and had purchsed the new version of Pal Mickey for our trip. We loved him, but I couldn't really tell you what is different from the original. All I can say is that we enjoyed having him at evry park. The nfo was great. We felt like we had our own tour guide. Some people complained that they had one and he just repeated the same thing over and over. we didn't have that experience. Pal Mickey 2 costs about $70. He's great. Well worth it! They told me he downloads new information every time you enter the turnstiles of the park you are visiting. I also loved the tips about what lines were short so we should go ride them. He also played games with my kids including trivia and songs. They are 7 & 9 & I am 40...we loved having him.

Can't wait to get me a new friend in Pal Mickey! I bet me and DD are gonna fight over who gets him.... He's one of the many things I am planning on buying in DTD on our very first night there!!!

The offical WDW web site has a game you can play that gets you a special pin when you are done. You will have to do a site search there and when you win (and you will! ), you print a cert. and take it with you. You also get a discount at some places if you are a PAP owner, and a special T shirt for Mickey, too! I think it is a %20 discount at the main store at DTD.

Yes! I'm getting mine next week! I'm going to check in at POFQ, take a boat over to DTD, and pick mine up! What kind of clip did he have? The last one had a pager type clip that did not work out well. I think a carbeener... carabeener... care-ah-beaner... (one of those rock climbing clips) would work out better. I think that him telling you which lines are shorter is a new feature!

I saw a pic of Pal Mickey somewhere in the 50th celeb pics and he had a tux on. Will all of them have a tux right now or is this extra $? I'm going to look for the game now...

I thought we had broken our original Pal Mickey, so I've been oh well, just have to buy the new one. I was tinkering around with him the other day and I've fixed him.....oh bother..... Going to have to think of another excuse!!

All the Pal Mickeys have a Tux on right now. We used the strap that came with him to wear around our neck. He also has a special 50th celebration decoration on his right hand. If you find someone with the larger size pin, you squeeze his hand and it lights up their pin. You can also buy the light up pin for $15.

I have my certificate for my pin. Got to by a Mickey, seeing as I went to all that trouble. It says that the pins are only available when you buy Pal Mickey from Magic Kingdom Main Street Cinema and Once Upon a Toy Store in DTD. So bear that in mind!

Is the only difference the "look" of the Pal Mickey? We have two of the original ones and 70.00 is kind of a steep price if they are basically the same thing.

Do you have the address to the site where you found this game, I can't find it but I am sure DD would love to play for a PIN as we are planning to buy our first Pal Mickey this year!

On the left hand side is a smallish box that has Mickey on it. It says "Play Pal Mickey Game" now. Click it and you should get there. I went to the offical WDW site and did a seach for it and it came write up. Hope this helps. It is an easy matching game.

The link for the game is on the right hand side of the page. It should be right under the "Choose Your Experience" link. It's a yellow box which says Play the Pal Mickey game.
