A friend just told me that Santa brings her family pajamas on Christmas Eve. Does he do this for anyone else?

:goodvibes Each and every year. We scramble to find 5 presents marked "Open on Christmas Eve" and we make a big deal like we don't know what's inside. We all put on our new jammies before bedtime so we look nice for our opening-the-presents pictures.

Santa doesn't bring them, but we always get pajamas on Christmas Eve.
Also (now kids are grown) a word puzzle book to keep them occupied that evening.

I wish I had done this when all of my kids were little. It sounds like a fun tradition.

Oh definitely! All the way back to when I was a kid.. I think quite a few people have this tradition.. Makes for really nice photos on Christmas morning..:santa:

We gave our boys new pajamas last Christmas Eve that were sort of Christmasy. They still fit this year and I know my mom is getting them pajamas so I'm not going to do it this year.

For Christmas my family used to receive pjs form Santa's elfs. We would wake up the morning of Christmas eve and they would be waiting at the foot of our beds.

Santa doesn't but every year I do on Christmas Eve, and a new ornament for the tree.

We never did this when I was growing up but I kind of wish I did. Maybe we'll start that tradition when we have kids. What does everyone do with so many pajamas? Do you constantly donate old pajamas?:confused3

We all get new pj's on Christmas Eve and take a photo of the kids and the dogs sitting on the fireplace before we go to bed. One of my kids is in college, and the other has graduated college, so I don't expect to be able to do this much longer!

i've heard of a lot of people doing this. DH and i usually just open a random present on Christmas Eve, but i'm beginning to think the pajamas thing would be kind of neat to do.

Yep---ALWAYS. We all get new PJs, and the kids get new slippers.

It is really the only way to make sure the pics are good the next morning, and everyone looks good.

When your kids are little they outgrow them before Valentine's Day.
When they are older, a new set of jammies each year really isn't that extravagant.;)

I get MATCHING pj bottoms for the men (last year "Mario") (this year is navy plaids) and I ALWAYS buy myself a "set" and MORE IMPORTANTLY.....some FUNKY XMAS TOE socks! (it bugs out the boys!) :lmao:

We started doing this for DS a few years ago after I read about it on the DIS. Now that he's 6, he's caught on. LOL! He started asking me if he could pick which present he opens on Christmas Eve...I think because he knows I always make him open PJ's! I always try to get him something Christmas themed if possible.

I never thought of doing it for me and DH. Might consider that this year!

We don't but know alot of people that do, we do always wear nice matching pj's to bed Christmas Eve though, gotta look good for pictures the next morning.;)

Santa doesn't bring the pj's, but I always have a pair of new pj's and a movie for my kids to open on Christmas eve. That way they'll have new pj's for the pictures in the morning (although I don't always get Christmas pj's and they aren't matching). And they get a dvd too that we all watch together before bed on Christmas eve. This year they're getting Santa Buddies.

We give pajamas to each other on Christmas eve (along with a book and 1 other thing). These are our only gifts to one another. Santa brings the rest. New PJs on Christmas Eve ensures that the pictures on Christmas morning have clean pjs in good condition that pass my muster in terms of modesty for pictures. (most often DD 10 wears only one of my or DH's tee shirts to bed, and I won't have that in pictures)

We do it every Christmas season. We had a more limited budget than usual this Christmas and I was going to nix them. Then Walmart had Black Friday Doorbusters: $3 Disney themed holiday jammies. :thumbsup2

The PJ's are from mom and dad.
