Paint the Night to MK?

Well I for one would love to see PTN come to WDW. I've never been big on parades (could handle Spectro - hated the music for MSEP) but I was on an ABD Backstage Magic trip during Disneyland's 60th and I fell in love with PTN. Watched it 3 times during our stay and have watched it on YouTube since.

It seems such a waste for it to be sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

While interesting I don't understand why this would have anything to do with a nighttime parade. Disney used to run a 3PM parade, fireworks, and night parade altogether for years.
I also think late August would be a strange time to introduce another parade. I would think earlier in summer would be more likely to hold over crowds if they were going to do it. At the end of August and ongoing they will be having the Halloween and Xmas parties several days a week with their own night parades. I personally don't think this is why the FoF time changed either.

I was thinking that as well, not much point in introducing it at the end of the summer season, when they are going into the Halloween Party season, and then Christmas. I would think that they time to do it would be at the beginning of the summer.

It looks like its just moving over to the other DL park. Which makes sense because of the awesome Cars scene. I'm not a fan of parades, but even I would watch this one. There's something about the song that goes with it too. It makes me want to dance like Kevin Bacon in "Footloose". It's like I have no control of my body. I need to find an abandoned warehouse or something after seeing it.

I've read in a couple of places now that the parade was "packed up for shipping." If that is true, I have a hard time believing that it is necessary to pack it up to move it from Disneyland to California Adventure. That is a relatively short trip.

I picture them just driving the floats across the promenade at 2 in the morning, hell they could sell a dessert package for it

Yeah, kind of what I was thinking. Worst case scenario, they tow them with the tractor that they use when a float breaks down. I simply can not imagine them packing the floats up for shipping on trucks just to more them from MK to California Adventure, doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

I personally believe PTN is going somewhere (where is anyone's guess. WDW, DLP, SDL all possibilities). I don't think they'd go through all the hassle of breaking the floats down into pieces for shipping just to move it across to DCA. Only time will tell...

Problem is the whole float-in-crates thing is just a rumor, as unsubstantiated as the more numerous no-it's-not-packed-up rumors.

But as long as we're doing personal beliefs, I believe the PTN-to-DCA rumor has the most legs.

Definitely, nobody has confirmation that the floats are packed up for shipping, it is just what is being rumored/talked about online. Knowing what Disney has done in the past (and also how successful MSEP is atm at Disneyland Park), it will almost certainly be extended again. Which leaves PTN unused, so it has to go somewhere. Where though is anybody's guess at this time.

For our young grandchildren the EP was magic. They came to life every time. It was a joy to watch the excitement on their faces and my entire crew will miss the
EP on our next trip.

I'll start watching for the PTN dessert party!

I'm not kidding! It was pouring rain when we went to the Fireworks Dessert party at MK and it was still packed to the gills! There is NO WAY I would even slightly enjoy standing there for hours in a defensive position. It is very conceivable to me that a large summer crowd without parade ropes will overwhelm the CM's. The front on view of the castle is amazing.

I can't believe the short shelf life it had it was amazing at Disneyland thank god I saw it in person
We were also disappointed that they ended PTN before our pre-planned DL trip. At least we were able to see MSEP, which brought back fond memories. Would love to see PTN at WDW.

I'm not a huge parade person either (I was a bit "meh" over Festival of Fantasy) but I absolutely love Paint the Night - and I agree that the song has a lot to do with it
