How long is this parade expected to stick around. I haven't looked at Disney stuff for awhile since we have no trips in the works... now we have this opportunity to spend one day there next week and there is no way we can see it. We made BB/Fantasmic reservations prior to knowing about the parade (and I am DYING to see F!). Wondering if this is just a summer thing. Or if it will be around awhile.

DLR has not announced an end date for any of the new entertainment offerings, but my guess is that the new parade will last for years. Soundsational, the day time parade, debuted in 2011 and still being presented. The Pixar Play Parade (in DCA) debuted in 2008 and is also still being presented. DLR invested a lot into development and introduction of a new show, so most seem to last for years (unless they get really awful reviews, like Light Magic, and are pulled quickly). PtN seems to be getting good reviews, so I would guess it'll be around for years to come (maybe until the 70th or 75th!).

Hope so...we will be going next summer and I really want to see it!!

Not to worry. PtN will almost certainly be as much of a fixture as Fantasmic. This parade is insanely good, and hugely popular right now. I dare say it's better than MSEP and Spectro combined. MSEP has been around for 40 years. If PtN was pulled from Disneyland, it would almost certainly go straight to WDW. If floats get old, they can be updated or replaced. There is a larger presence of newer stuff in this parade, which seems to fit with the current Disney trends.

The only issue I have with PtN, is that it creates a traffic nightmare in the park. Disney has made some infrastructure improvements, but they aren't enough on the busy nights. The crowds lining the parade route for the first showing are worse than those from the 24-hour party. There are strollers, and ECV's everywhere. It's truly insane. I'd almost rather see this parade at DCA because it has better infrastructure than Disneyland.
