They were able to switch between the regular show and Holiday version without any down time, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did the preview and then went back to the old show on the 21st and reset it for the new show on the 22nd.

That would be harsh! I am going to believe in Disney magic and hope that won't be the case.

Yes, it was for you and a "plus one" guest, so 200 people per event (plus press and cast members and other VIPs)
