Paint Shop Pro

If you use this program, would you recommend it?

I also posted on the Photography board but I wanted some experiences from those who just take normal, everyday photos as well. I'm not an expert or anything so I'd just like a nice program to touch up photos.

Amazon has it listed for $87 with $50 in rebates so I'm thinking about jumping on it.

I have trials of Paint Shop and Photo Elements 4 on my computer. I'm leaning towards Paint Shop as it seems to do more.

I've used Paint Shop Pro for years. I find it much easier to use than Adobe Photoshop (for an amateur like me).

I love my paint shop pro for certain things like invites and banners and fixing the coloring and all of photos. I use abobe photodeluxe however, to do photo restoration and larger jobs, cleaning up pictures, taking out backgrounds, that kinda stuff.

I agree with Tina, it's so much simpler than Photo Shop for a novice. I have both and can't recall when the last time I opened Photo Shop was.

IMO, you can't possibly be unhappy with it. The animation shop is fun to experiment with too.

PaintShop Pro is good for drawing and graphics, but not good for photos. For photos (cropping and fixing) I would recommend Nero PhotoSnap, part of the Nero Ultimate bundle, which includes a lot of great tools. www.nero.com

You might want to try Pisaca. It's a program made by the people that made google. It's free, just google it. You can do some minor touch ups with this program.

I like being able to touch up blemishes, selective coloring, fixing red eye, adding frames around photos. Nothing too difficult but a little more than just the crop/red eye fix.

I have Picasa but I didn't see where it allows touching up blemishes and stuff.
