paint color suggestions

I am getting a teal colored sectional. I am not a very good color person and am looking for suggestions on colors to paint my room. It's a fairly small room and I want to brighten it up. Right now it's a light sage green with mauve colored trim. I may even go white but if I can come up with a nice color i'll give it a try.

Have you considered doing 3 walls one color and the 4th a different color....I did my bedroom in a darker green (not forest but not sage either) and then the wall where my bed is a cremey white. I remember seeing something like that on HGTV supposedly it makes it appear like the room has more depth. I was kinda thinking a buttery creme color for yours with maybe a white with some blue tones to it. When I say buttery creme I am thinking kinda like the area where your name is on these boards but maybe a tone deeper, nothing to yellow though......oh I hope I am making sense!

we just painted 1 wall in each room. We chose all our colors from Home Depot Disney Collection. They have beautiful color.
