Painful Ear Piercing

Theres nothing to be scared of if your over 8 years old. I got mine done at 8 or 9 in the mall, thats how I started, that was about a 20, or 18 gage, it did not hurt AT ALL. Then if your feeling confident go to one of the tattoo and piercing places, ask them for a bigger gage earing, or find your own personal piercer. If you get them done in the mall, it doesn't hurt at all, unless your young, also depends how thick your ear lobe is.

It also depends on how sensitive your ears are. Mine are very sensitive. And not just to metals.

We thought i had arthritis. So i had to get blood pulled. T_T

We went to the "lab"
What a lovely story was waiting for me there!
As an attempt to calm me down, the lady told me about a dude who just came in who was much worse off.
It seems there was a GIANT BUG LODGED IN HIS BACK.

It also depends on how sensitive your ears are. Mine are very sensitive. And not just to metals.

see that i dont get..you wouldnt be normal then...how can u be sensitive to metal when you have metal in your body like every other human being on this planet..that makes no sense at all

heres what i did...dont get a 18 right away...well for me i got a 20 and stretched it for a 18, no pain.

it's not the fact that i faint, i literally cry like a baby! last time i went to the doctors was just merryland. first off we were running late. we got in the car and about 10 minutes on the road some old dude hit us from behind, so we had to wait 10 more minutes for the police to get here (!)_(!) my grandparents wound up getting us and driving us there to find out i had to get a shot. lovely. at least i wasn't my brother, he had to get five (5)!! then to top it off my mom finally gets there. the nurse asks who should go first (to get the shot). of course, being the fact that im worse with shots, my mom tells her i should go first. of course i was thrilled with this. i sat there about to bawl my eyes out when my mom yells at me to "be a good example for my brother" like that's fun... so i cried on my mothers shoulder while she gave me the shot. lemme tell ya, IT STUNG! i chose to stay in the room when my brother got his shot (god.) he started to SCREAM! like, pierce your ears and scare the deaf scream. me, being the melodramatic girl i am, cried when he got his shot (i felt VERY bad for him as he screamed "no no not another shot NO!!!!!!!!!)

I dont think the doctors a friend of mine....

I know how it is. When I had to get injections before going to college, I couldn't do it. I had to go back the next day.
I have refused novacaine while having my teeth worked on. In other words, I've had my teeth drilled on without anything.

Did I ever say I was normal? No. My body chemistry is very odd from most people. I am not only allergic to most metals, I am allergic to just about every man made fragrance made. That means, almost every soap, shampoo, lotion, make-up, cleaners, etc, I am allergic to. And that's not all my allergies.

Every 7 years, my allergies get worse as my body chemistry changes. So, my body chemistry is totally out of whack.
I wouldn't wish my allergies on my worst enemy.

In my case, it's mostly psychological. I was born with a cleft lip and palate. Which meant that I had numerous shots and surgeries while a baby. Studies have shown that people that had many surgeries as a baby tend to have fears of shots.

where are the studies..i have no fear of shots, but i have had 3 teeth/dental procedures with 7 shots per tooth. 3 teeth all at once
i had a foot surgery 12/4/93,1 yr old at the time,had 8 shots per toe, two toes performed surgery on

id hate to say those studies are true.unless their proven on apes.

omg I've seen people do HORRIBLE things to their ears. Things like putting those earrings that make a huge hole in their ear and the earring is a hoop so then they HANG things on this hoop. Things like MASTER LOCKS and....ugh it's just gross. I'll find a picture.

im with you on that, no offense to people with these kinds of earrings that you stick in your ears and they make a huge HOLE but EWE.. i can never imagine me getting my ears pierced.. especially any other parts of my body.. uh.. sure.. if anyone ever tried to pierce my ears i would like, take the gun and shove it at their face.. Lalalala, my sister, if you havent known already is like dumbo. heh. the first time she got both ears pierced, once, they both got infected. a year later, she got her ears pierced again at the same store. FINALLY, she thought she was so cool, so she deicided to get her cartilage pierced.. which i think is disgusting, without my parents finding out. so she goes over to her friends house, and they stick a ice cube by her ear, ( bad enough you can probably get sick from doing that ) and she holds it there for half a hour. then when its numb, they burn the needle so its clean, even though i would think it wouldnt be, and they shove it through her ear. when she got home she looked fine. but she was crying. heh.. it was pierced alright. it didnt look cool to me whatsoever. heres where the good part comes out of it.. if she didnt give me her tamagotchis, that i used to love, she would be dead, hah. soon enough they found out anyways!

I got my first piercing when I was 2

Last year, aroudn this time, I got my second one..that was painful
I was getting them pierced and the lady who was doing them put it in too tight so when she pushed the button for the gun my ears were throbbing. I was like: Are the earring supposed to be this tight?' She said: Crap, I am so sorry' not the most painful story you have ever heard but, it hurt

i did my brothers ears, then guaged them out to 14's right away (you supposed to start at like 16's and wait 2 weeks)

then i did an industrial for him too.

most perfect one ever.

i do lots of peircings.
i did one of my friends leg during band once...it was kinda weird. i have a pic..but i dont think anyone wants to see it.

I will take ten needles and maybe liquid med before I have to go to sleep uncontrolled for surgery. Shots are much easier!

I had many, many more than that while I was a baby and as a toddler.

i just dont like them on me. for all the piercings i do, people say its weird because i only have my ears done in one spot.

eewuuughh!!! before this i had half a mind to get a second piercing above the first but NVM! just looking at that makes my skin crawl! the only reason i hate shots is because they are just plain eerie. and they sometimes hurt. a tip: dont be tense; it hurts more. i learned that tip the easy way (tg) my second-to-last visit. it didnt hurt THAT time.

No offense either, but I agree with Avast. Those look strange. No offense, but if I were a boy I'd would take Cpt.JackSpearow's earring over that other one. No offense though.
