I just finished paying my family’s cruise for early January 2020 just after the New Year out of Miami on the Magic. It’s such a great feeling when you make your final payment.

I booked Palo Brunch and Dinner. And I was surprised that I could already book our Port Arrival time. Is that because we are now Gold! This is DH and my 7th cruise. It’s only my 3 sons’ 4th cruise, oops sorry guys, Mom and Dad cruised out of NYC with out you!

We have never vacationed or cruised at that time of year. We will be happy to leave NJ weather behind.

Now the wait! Can’t wait! DCL ❤️

Congratulations. Just paid off our cruises for early Jan 2020 out of PC on the Dream. Online check-in is Friday night. These (a 3 night-4 night B2B on the Dream) will be our final Gold status cruises. It's not really cold here in NM in January, just want to see some water.

We go on our 6th cruise mid Jan. We live in Ohio, so we also love escaping the freezing winter weather. This will be our 3rd Jan cruise. I always hope that where we live gets hit with a ton of snow right after we leave and it's all gone by the time we get back! Last year we weren't so lucky and had to drive home from the airport to our house in an ice storm. That was rough!

We’re alllllmost there. I made a big payment today but we have a little more to go.

I just made my final payment. Thanks for reminding me. :) I'm happy... will be sad when the bill comes, but in 7 months, it'll feel even better to have a "free" (previously paid) vacation.

I paid off my february cruise about a month ago. I know early but I have a specific way I save for vacations and it felt GREAT to pay it off. Just booked swimming with the sea lions in st. thomas and that will be paid well in advance too. I love having stuff paid off before setting foot on vacation!

I paid our Jan. Cruise off about a month ago and should have enough in our OBA already to pay off excursions, tips, and any other charges. Now I'm just waiting for early 2021 to be released so I can start giving Disney more money, the cycle never ends. :P

This is my first time using Disney Visa to pay off cruise. I like the idea of 6 months interest free. And I just add it to my onboard account.

I knew the Disney Visa had special benefits but I was reminded of the interest free for 6 months from these boards. So, I will keep my money making more interest and it gives me 6 months to put aside the rest.
I do know I need to pay off the charge before 6 months, I do not want the interest.

Thanks DIS Boards for sharing such great information! It has made all my cruise much smoother and successful, because of the tips and ideas I get from everyone here,👍🏻

Can you add to your onboard account in advance of the cruise?

Yes, you just call Disney and tell them you want to put money on your OBA. I use Disney a gift card. but you can also do it with a cc.

That's great! I'm hoping to do the Royal Tea and BBB and it would be great to have those paid for via on board credit before hand.
