Who can book at 74 days? Or is that just something that may happen?
When you book a 2 week pkg onsite you can book FP for your entire trip at the 60 day mark. So you can technically book 74 days out.

I love that you were up at that hour checking.![]()
But this was literally people booking at the 74 day window instead of the 60 day window. For all trip lengths.
But I figured this out on my own & had been doing if before it was being discussed on the board. To me it was just common sense, if I’m changing a FP mine will now be available so there is a chance someone cancelled a FP I want that is now available. If I check enough times it might be available b/c there are thousands of ppl using it at the same time doing exactly what I’m doing,While I don’t disagree with any of this, I will say that the first time I logged in at 180 days to do my ADRs and couldn’t get a reservation I wanted, I assumed it was full and I was out of luck. It wasn’t until a Disney vet let me in on the ability / need to constantly check back that I would have even considered doing it. So for first timers, are they really refreshing the way the vets are? Do they know to? Or do they see that FOP is fully distributed for the day and assume that it really is?
A family of 8 is not typical though. Family of 3-4 would be $150-$200/day. I think ppl might go for that depending on what is offered. It might be affordable for couples or single travelers, but it definitely prices out most families. It would cost our family an extra $400 per day, or a minimum of $1200.00 extra, just for 3 more fp's per day. No way would I pay for that - we'd just rope drop and wait in longer lines instead.
And that’s the problem today...the attitude that corporations should make hand-over-fist profits at all cost. It should be a balance. Companies should care about their products & image. The problem is greed is just accepted now. Part of why the gap between the 1% & everyone else keeps growing. It’s not just Disney. It’s the whole corporate culture.
This isn’t happening anymore right? I’ve gotten lost on that part. But this was literally people booking at the 74 day window instead of the 60 day window. For all trip lengths.

Correct. They fixed that “glitch.”
Not seeing a problem with something that is toxic & pervasive doesn’t make it not a problem. That is your problem with corporate culture.
Some of us don't see a problem.
If you (general you) have a problem then speak with your wallets, stop giving these greedy corporations your money. Until then you can consider yourselves part of the problem in a consumer driven market.
I'm with you. I always thought that companies paid for expansion from their already enormous profits when they have those. It's getting to where I wouldn't be surprised if Disney started billing people for construction costs. Yes, exaggeration but still. Not seeing a problem with something that is toxic & pervasive doesn’t make it not a problem.

Off topic...but I’m in the east upper. We haven’t had an increase in 3 years! Good thing b/c I don’t think we have a breaking point in my householdEveryone has a breaking point. I reached mine with my LSU football season tickets when they sent me the first part of my bill and it went UP. I'm done buying them after this season. It's not worth it to me anymore.
Until TONS of people reach that point they will continue to push the limits.
I understand. I’m just saying the price increase would not affect most ppl in the astronomical way it would you.We aren’t typical but we enjoy WDW too.

Wrong. Everyone would be hit for hundreds to a thousand extra per week for something that is now free. Sure the seemingly large number of DIS posters who go many times a year and stay CL won't feel it as much, but the vast majority of those who go would be greatly impacted by both the cost and the loss of value to their tickets.I understand. I’m just saying the price increase would not affect most ppl in the astronomical way it would you.
lol on concessions! I thought we were just getting screwed up in the slums. Guess it’s makes me feel better to know everyone’s suck!We are technically in the north end zone and they are great seats. They've been in my husband's family for decades. We just don't care about going anymore. It's such a huge pain to deal with and we wind up selling most of them. I told him I could have my bathroom remodeled for the cost of those tickets!! lol
ETA: it would have been nice for them to give us some new concessions. For what we pay I am tired of the food, the bleachers and them taking away a lot of free parking. At least I know part of my TAF donation went to Mike VII and the gymnastics team.
Ok OT rant over! LOL
