Hi Everyone,

I use this service for my son. He has his phone for emergencies only and for 10.00 every 4 months its great!

I am now going to get my other son who is going into middle school a phone as well. I see they only sell 3 phones on their site.

Can u tell me what phone u use with this service - i might look on ebay to purchase a phone

I bought one off of EBAY to use with PagePlus. It is a basic flip phone, nothing special about it. I wouldn't use it for texting or internet but as an Emergency use phone it works well and it is pretty rugged.

It is a Motorola Barrage 860.

Remember to check that the esn number can be activated on Page Plus before you buy.

They usually won't post the number in the auction but ask if they will tell you the number so you can check it. If they won't tell you ask them if they have checked it to make sure if it will activate on PagePlus.

There is a place on the KittyWireless website that you can check the numbers for free and I'm sure there are probably other places to check it too. If they answer yes, then you have a promise from them in writing and can easily file a claim if the phone can't be activated.

If they have plenty of good feedback on EBAY you most likely can trust their answer.

You can use pretty much any Verizon phone, with the following exceptions :

Verizon prepaid phones
Any Verizon 4G phone
Verizon Iphone

I have droid Incredible phones for my wife and daughter on Page Plus. No problems, and saves us a bunch of money versus postpaid.

If its not in the listing ask the seller for it. If they don't/won't give it to you, I'd look for another seller. I have purchased more than a few phones on ebay and was burned by one seller but that was back when I didn't know enough to ask.

I use page plus and I have a palm pixi, which works for me but it probably wouldn't be good for a teen. For Christmas I got my dd a refurbished Droid Incredible for $80 to activate on Page Plus. I think I may even get myself one too

Correct - however, if a Verizon phone (which was meant to be prepaid) was ever activated, it may qualify for PagePlus activation.

OP - best rule of thumb, make sure the eBay seller is reputable (I often sell cell phones, there, myself) and send them a message asking if you can have the phone's ESN for verification purposes (as phones that are stolen or part of an unsettled bill will not be activated).

usually the listing will state pageplus,if the seller knows what they're doing, you can even look on amazon for deals....I got my last phone used on ebay and use pp,love it!

i saw a couple of ebay listings for verizon flip phones - basic - about 25.00 - i asked if they could be used on pageplus and they said not sure because they are Not unlocked --

do i need a phone that is unlocked from verizon? or any phone

The best thing you can do is get the ESN number of the phone and check it using one of the validation tools. Then you know for certain
