Paddock Pool?

Hello all, we're going to be in Saratoga Springs in a few weeks. Does anyone know what the Paddock area is like right now? I believe I read that work on the new pool has not started yet, but i was curious if the area looked like a 'construction site' anyway. (We were going to make a request for Paddock, but now i'm leaning toward asking for Congress Park). Thanks!

The last time we were there it was great. I do not know what the planned renovations are....but we had kids from 3 to 13 and they all loved it!

I like the pool, but the zero entry coming will be good for kids.

I am excited they will be adding a QS location and a pop refill. We are adament mug lovers. The big problem with SSR is only fill up is good if you are in the springs. If you stay in Carosel, Padd, or DTD end no go for mugs. Though.. any more in the cabinet and the DH will probably fall off the band wagon. This year I am thinking of giving them away... At least threatening too.. I think I have about 9 or 10 of the red ones..

When I talked to MS last month they said that there was a hold on the new pool area and they are reassessing the plans.

We stayed in Paddock 8/22-24 & although our family did not go to Paddock pool it was fully in use by many guests and we did not see anything indicating that construction would begin soon.

I actually asked Member Services last week about this and they told me that these plans were temporarily on hold. They said they might not even go through with these plans.

Yes, if I am not mistaken it was already approved in the association meeting from last year. Not sure the process now, or what a possible revision could mean. Might be good or bad.....but I have a feeling it would be bad.

On August 2, 2010, Disney filed a "Notice of Commencement" with the Orange County Comptroller indicating that it was making improvements to the Paddock Pool. I take that as a positive sign that Disney will go through with its plans to renovate the Paddock Pool.

About the same time, Disney also filed a "Notice of Commencement" indicating it was renovating the play area at the Grandstand Pool. Has anyone noticed any work being done around the Grandstand Pool?

idk Maybe they are revising design somewhat and that may cause delay ? jmho but artist's rendering looks like it would be better suited for a larger parcel of land.
