Packing

When do you start packing? We don't leave for almost a week, and my DD started packing about two+ weeks ago. She has a bag ready to go with everything but her bear. She even has an extra toothbrush so she could complete her packing.

We leave in 10 days and I started TODAY! That actually feels late for me since the this will be the first trip in ten years that I have been working outside of the house and have to plan around another schedule. Usually I would start slowly the last few weeks before, washing and packing bit by bit while the kids were in school. This year so much of my time is consumed with other stuff that I just started with my eldest tonight. (being a boy, he could really care less what gets packed, but he nicely helped me by picking out a few favorites and I went from there).

Next weekend should be time to pack my 8 year old DD and my things (my DH is on his own this trip ) I just hope I don't have any "forgot the luggage" or "forgot to pack ____" dreams between now and then....like I usually do

Worryingly I've begun packing and I've 45 days to go!

We leave in 16 days and we have almost complete packing.

Started thinking about it last week, but actually started packing today! I can't wait!!!

I start in earnest a month before. That gives me time to think about it. Lists are good, but I always remember something else when I'm putting things in bags.

For our August trip, we decided not to unpack some things from our January trip like travel toiletries, so technically we've started already!!

I started about 2 weeks ahead and still forgot stuff.

Yah, it depends on you, we start packing a week before the very special day comes. I can't wait to go there this year.
