Has anyone ever packed water in their checked luggage. I am trying to avoid a stop at the stor and wanted to pack water in my luggage. Is this possible? I checked SW site, they only talk about alcohol. Anyone ever have any problems doing this?

Please consider buying it when you get to Orlando. I have had my luggage get soaked because someone packed something that leaked in theirs.

I always pack water bottles. Last trip I packed too many (for 5 of us), that we had many left over that we never even used! I put 2 water bottles in a ziploc bag, and pack around 8 in each piece of luggage. I've never even come close to being over the weight limit with my luggage. I also pack a box or two of juice boxes.

HTH

We thought about packing water for our upcoming trips, but decided to use garden grocer instead. I couldn't stand the thought of the bottles breaking and leaking everywhere. Garden grocer gets great reviews - I'll be able to review them myself Wednesday:woohoo:

We packed water when we went to the Bahamas and had no problem at all. Going to Disney though you can use www.gardengrocer.com or Costco or any of the delivery services available for water delivery for a decent cost.

We do this every trip and have never had a problem. The Ziploc bag idea works great. For those of you who say just buy it there... We like the small half pint bottles because they fit in our fanny packs (yes we are those people!) and in DH's cargo shorts. We can't find those at most stores. We do reuse them with ice water in the parks, so having a dozen is enough for the trip. We freeze them overnight in the room and start the day out with great cold water.

We toss empty ones in our suitcase -- not a whole lot of extra space or weight & no worries about getting things wet. If you are not fans of FL h20 -- try the flavored h2o packets.

Did you know that you can get a free cup of ice water at any CS location? It's a lot easier than carrying around a water bottle all day.

yeah I know -- but I don't want to wait in line for some water everytime I'm thirsty (& with 3 boys someone is always thirsty!)

& I'm not a big fan of asking for *free* things (ssh--don't tell anyone) ;)

that's a good idea re: packing 2 bottles in a ziplock. i will def. try that. as for juice boxes, i'm a little more concerned. did you pack them as they are or put them in ziplock bags as well? I may just do the water thing, unless someone can shed some light on how to pack juice safely.

Beware Disney has just start to charge $10 for the delivery of items to any Disney resort. So if you are planning to have a case of water shipped to Disney factor in an additional $10 that Disney will bill you for holding it/delivering it to your room plus the shipping charge from what ever source you buy if from and you could be looking at $18.00 just in shipping/handling costs for a case of water that cost $7.00. Can't see spending near $25.00 for a case of water !!!!

So now the water will now cost you the same amt as purchasing it from Disney.

I packed water in a suitcase one time - had no issues. What I did was wrapped the bottles in bubblewrap. Then saved the bubblewrap and used it to wrap my suvineers in for transporting home.

IT isn't not $10.00 it is $5.00 per package and as far as I know and have read that is only those that are shipped to convention resorts as those resorts have a vendor that handles packages. While many people have packed it in their luggage without a problem there are times that things break and I personally don't care if it is juice or water I don't need my suitcase and belongings soaked by people who pack water in theirs.
