As you loose weight, what are you doing with your old clothes? I bagged up many, many bags of clothes yesterday & they are going to Goodwill. Three of those bags were scrubs so I am giving those to co-workers. Some of my friends think I'm crazy & should keep them incase I ever need them again. I don't agree. I think keeping them will make it easier for me to wear them instead of kicking it up a notch if the pounds start to creep back up. Some think I should still keep some of my bigger shirts becasue technically I can still wear them, but they don't look or feel right anymore. I don't want to wear baggy clothes, I want to wear clothes that fit well & show off all my hard work. Now that i can finally wear low riders without muffin topping it I want to get rid of all those old Lee Rider Mom Jeans, know what I mean?

Are you guys keeping your old clothes or getting rid of them?

Oh no! Don't keep anything for "just in case" time. Maybe one for a "look how far I've come" comparison only.

I think yo deserve to celebrate your new won size and definitely should do what you can to treat yourself to a new look.

Congratulations! I know it is not an easy journey, but it looks to me like you are definitely doing a fantastic job!

I've gained up and am tyring to back it down. I refuse to go back to where I was and if I look bad just now in these tightly fitting things, this is most definitely temporary. I am so glad I did not keep anything that would "allow" me to wear those bigger and probably more comfy things.

You have fun shopping!

That 25 pound clippie looks great on you!

I only kept my biggest pair of jeans. Everything else has gone to Good Will or to the battered women's shelter along the way. A few things I really liked, lightly used, and hated to part with went to a friend that I thought might like them. The lady who volunteers at the battered women's shelter told me that she kept some of the things I donated for herself. I told her I didn't mind, and brought her another bag to look through. She also works at the after care program at my son's school, so I see her all the time.

Keep old "fat" close just in case? NO WAY!! I have 4 - 5 bags of clothes to take to the goodwill.

I held on to/wore them for a long time, a lot longer than I should. Once I hit 40 pounds lost I couldn't stand it and started to shop for me. Even the people at the bus stop were starting to pick on me to get some new stuff that actually fit.

I bought just a few things but now I can't stand to see most of my "fat" clothes. Some still fit (skinny sweaters) and a lot of my exercise pants I altered since I just wear tham around the house and to drive the grls around to school, etc. I bagged a bunch fo stuff up and gave to some friends but I need to weed through my clothes again and get rid of more.

I will keep the last 2 sizes of clothes, I just bought, just in case but all the other sizes that are not altered is going over ther holidays, if not before. I need the space and I need the urge not to relax and go back to my old ways.

I look better and new clothes just make me feel better, like I am worth it. KWIM

P.S. You should do it too!

Good! Sounds like I made the right decision. DH shipped the clothes to Goodwill Saturday while I was at work. Now I just hope Santa brings me some gift certificates for new clothes! :)
