The best tip I ever got off of these boards was to use the jumbo ziplock bags for packing...put each days clothes in a bag, label it, squeeze all the air out and pack it. After you wear the clothes, put them back in the ziplock and your ready to pack. Makes packing to leave easy as pie!

Keep in mind that you can buy lots of stuff at WDW ,even if overpriced, so don't overpack and panic if you won't have something.

I would suggest bringing more film, batteries and digital disc space than you'd ever THINK you'd use.

I agree with Jenny. I pack very light for all of us (I do laundry at the resort while the others swim).

But I ALWAYS pack whatever medicines we use, like Ibuprofen and Imodium, since not only are these things expensive in WDW (I think it's $2.50 for a small pack with two Advil in it!), the choices are limited. Days are precious at WDW, and I don't want to spend any time hunting down Rolaids!

Have fun!

On that same note, whenever we travel anywhere with the kids I always pack my digital ear thermometer and childrens Tylenol and Motrin. Unfortunalty we have needed them on more than one occasion. :sad1:

Make sure you have room in your suitcase (or bring an extra bag) for the souvenirs you buy at DW. You don't want to be forced to buy a suitcase at the resort. ;) Our first year we carried onto the plane a certain amount of DW bags with stuffed animals that won't fit in my suitcase.

I always bring a canvus bag that folders up and fits into my other luggage on the way to Florida and holds lots of dirty clothes on the way home. That way the souvenirs are in my "better" protected suitcase. :thumbsup2

Try hard not to take too much. Honestly, You don't need half the stuff you take. I am really trying hard to work on this myself !
One sweatshirt or jacket for chilly evenings, more then 1 bathing suit, comfy day-time clothes, dress for comfort & be practical, walking around WDW all day is not a fashion show....
Have a Blast !

I plan 2 outfits for each day, then only bring half, since I do laundry. So for a 10 day trip I would bring 10 outfits- 2 each for the first 5 days, then I do laundry in my bathing suit and have clothes for the rest for the trip.

The reason for 2 outfits? We go to the park in the morning, come back to the resort in the afternoon for swimming and a nap and then return to the parks in the evening. I do't want to put on the same sweaty clothes. I also pack 2 pair of shoes and rotate them along with water shoes for the pool/water park and 2 bathing suits. Don't like to put on a wet suit.

I also pack a large duffle bag in my suitcase for all the extra items that get purchased.

One big tip...divide your clothing between the suitcases. If you pack 3 suitcases divide everyones clothese into thirds and place a third in each suitcase. This way if a suitcase gets lost everyone still has clothes. If you packed everyone their own suitcase someone would be without clothes.

I also pack a carry-on with medication, basic hygene items, swimsuit and one outfit.

Have fun.
