Packing Tips for Porcelain Dolls

We will be moving in the next few months and I have quite a few porcelain dolls. We want to start packing them now, so that it will be done when the time comes. Does anyone have tips for packing them to be stored and then moved? I worry about not only breaking them, but crushing their hair or clothes. Please help! Thanks!

My mom is a collector, and gave me a doll for an auction item at DS's school. I have no idea if this is helpful to you or not, but the doll had come (to her) wrapped as follows:

1. I believe the hair had netting around it.
2. Bubblewrap around the porcelain head and hands
3. Tissue wrapped around the whole doll (soft body)
4. The whole thing was placed inside a sturdy cardboard box

I would think the bubblewrap would be the most important part.

Are these antique dolls or new dolls? That could make a difference on what's recommended for packing/shipping/storage.

I'm not a collector but I'd suggest wrapping each of them loosely in bubble wrap and them put them standing up in a deep moving box with a thick layer of packing peanuts or crumbled packing paper in the bottom. Then fill around and on top of them with more peanuts or paper. Go to a storage place and buy packing boxes made for lamps because the cardboard is very thick and the boxes won't get crushed if you stack them.

We moved last year and had a lot of fragile stuff that I packed - nothing was broken.

They're new-ish. Do you know where I could get the stuff to put around their hair? Some of them have very curly hair and I don't want it to get ruined.
