Packing restrictions..

Flying SouthWest and was wondering - can I take a small can of hair spray in my carry on or pack it in my luggage?

Here are their policies..aerosol items have to be less than 16 oz. I was told to carry mine in my carryon, so as to not lose the "fizz". I have no idea if it would have lost it's fizz, but I put it in my carry on:
