Hey guys! I'm going on a road trip tomorrow (not to WDW, to Cincinnati. NOT THE SAME! :rolleyes2), and as I always do, I packed some snacks. This got me thinking "I could totally bring these things to the parks". So my question to you is, what are your favorite packable park snacks? Here's a video of what I'm bringing in the car, and all of them could totally work in a cooler or park bag.

Nothing meltable. Sweets, crisps/chips, peanut butter crackers are good park snacks. As are pretzels.

my DMom was the BEST about park snacking! everyone in my family got a small bag of chips, a bag of trail mix, and a bag of veggies or fruit. between the four of us, we never bought a snack in the parks :cool1:

How well do apples hold up???

The only thing with apples that I have done at WDW is packed them in my suitcase between clothes in our checked luggage, and made apple sandwiches out of apple slices and peanut butter. So I've never taken a whole apple to a park before. I bet it would hold up ok if I put a little bit of air in the ziplock as a cushion, and maybe wrap a few paper towels around it. Now at that point, would it be worth it? Not sure :confused3

We always bring some kind of soft-sided cooler and fill it with sandwiches, carrots, snap/snow peas, or pepper sticks, cut up fruit (apples, pears, cantaloupe, grapes, or orange slices), frozen water bottles (they melt fast enough and help to keep everything cold), and yogurt smoothies or tubes (like go-gurt but either the organic kind or Chobani Champions).
Maybe add some rolled up turkey and/or some cheese sticks.

I figure there's no need to fill my family with more junk than we'll be buying at the parks.

Larabars! They are all-natural, only dates and usually some sort of nuts depending on the flavor. They are filling but healthy, and my DD loves them!

I like your snack ideas. I put Justin's PB on granola bars--though it's not easy to find the PB anymore. Where did you get that small sea salt? I'd like to find one like it.

Welcome to Cincinnati!

We're packing cheese crackers, nutrigrain bars, go-go squeeze, an apple and water. I also bring some crystal light to add to my Nalgene bottle.

I make my own trail mix. Peanuts, M&Ms, raisins, and Goldfish pretzel crackers. Nice mix of sweet, salty, and savory, and the peanuts add some protein to keep me feeling full longer.

I also bring a supply of "Jif to Go" individual peanut butter tubs, and then buy sliced apples or celery sticks in the parks. I even add raisins to the celery/peanut butter combo to make "ants on a log," my favorite snack from my Camp Fire Girl days! :goodvibes

We usually bring a full lunch into the parks of sandwiches or wraps, some fruit, and water. I also have snacks in the backpack such as granola bars, squeezable fruit pouches, fruit snacks, and crackers. The crackers I pack in a small hard sided container so that they don't get smashed.
