So since our trip has gotten moved from OCt to August is there anything that I should really have with me before I leave? What do you feel are the necessities to have? Any help would be great!:)

A/C - if I didn't have it in the PUP I'd take a portable one and popup gizmos :goodvibes

Second the A/C! We had an older PUP and used a window unit which worked great. Fans and extension cords to move around the cold air. Also we used to take a dorm sized fridge to enjoy cold drinks :)

We also take a dorm fridge:thumbsup2 and a small freezer.
Towels for the pool.
Mosquito spray.
:scratchin

Extra hoses for water.

Ziplocks, quarters for the ice machine, (We took a big cooler that stayed outside but we would slide it in the air conditioned pop up during the day while we were at the parks to help conserve ice). We bring a lap top, a tv tuner and a coax cable so we can watch the disney cartoon channel in the camper sometimes.
Camp site decorations (at least a string of christmas lights or two). Rope (there is no clothesline) and a small grill (there is no fire ring). You might already know this but just in case.
More towels than you think you need. They will take a long time to dry. Tie down straps for your awning. Summer t-storms are serious down there.

Have fun!
