I will be leaving for WDw on Sun Nov. 20 and returning home Thurs. Nov. 24. I just checked the weather for that time and it will barely be breaking 70, and the nights are going into the 40's. What do we pack?? Please help, keep in mind, my son is 20 months old.

Thanks so much!!!

This time of year is hard to pack for. we leave dec. 5. I pack shorts for the day, and jeans/long pants for evening. Sometimes we can keep the shorts on and just add a sweatshirt and sometimes it's warm enough you don't need sweatshirt. With a little one I'd be prepared for warm and cold weather.
I've also had it be freezing (in the 30's) the first week of dec. and your dates are far off. Unfortunately you need more suitcase space this time of year.

Definitely have gloves for the evenings. We've been there when it's in the 40's and when you are walking around your hands get cold! Don't worry...this time of year it can be either way. Just be prepared for whatever happens! Have a great trip!

We often go in January. What we pack is t shirts and shorts outfit for each day. Then throw in a couple of jeans, couple of long sleeved shirts , one sweatshirt and hat and gloves for each of us. On the super cold (freezing )mornings we have each layer on (t-shirt, long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt and jeans) and then peel away as the day progresses. The only downside of having one sweatshirt, is that in our 10 day trips, it looks like all we do is wear the same shirt every day :goodvibes

Remember you are not sitting in freezing for hours! The transportation is heated, as are the rides and many pre-view lines. Also because you are going in a slower time of year, the crowds are lighter, so you don't have the long lines to wait in!

Cold is easier to deal with in my opinion than wet!

it can be cold and warm. We went two weeks after Thanksgiving in 2000 and my DH & DD were able to swim one or two days in outdoor pool. Temp were in mid 70's. We wore shorts/tshirts/sweatshirts everyday. Most in our party switched to pants at night. I don't remember wearing a jacket or gloves though. Great weather/enjoy. :earsboy:

I don't know where you are from, but I'm in Mass and when we fly to WDW in the late fall/early winter, we fly in jeans, turtleneck, sweatshirt, windbreaker, heavyish socks. Then, we can take off layers on the plane. This way, we have our 'warmer' clothing, and don't have to take up space in our luggage. We do pack shorts/short sleeve teeshirt in our carry-on bags tho. We have made the mistake of having to walk around the parks in our jeans and longsleeved shirts when it's been in the low 80's because we didn't think to get into our stored bags.
We have found that you can get away with shorts with either a short or long sleeved shirt during the day. Jeans with a sweatshirt are perfect at night. In '03 we were there in mid-Dec and it was downright cold!!! We did wear our mittens on our last day that year!!! But, that was a bit unusual from what I understand.

Wow! The forcast has changed just from when I looked yesterday. The days for our trip (beginning 23rd) that were showing up so far on the 15 day forcast were showing 76-79 degrees and 60's at night. Now, they're upper 60's in the day and 40's at night. I hope a warm front comes in that they weren't expecting! I'm adding Cuddle Duds and hats and gloves now!

Where did you find a forcast for that far in advance, I can only find 10 days out. We will be there Nov. 22-28, I was hoping for a waterpark.

We drive so I can pack more then most. I try to pack a few sweaters/sweatshirts in case it's cold. And a few pairs of long pants. Dressing in layers is always good because the weather can change and this way your prepared either way.

Well neing from SOuth Flroida and going on Dec. 25 and driving, also with a 20 month old I plan on packing in layers, so I will be taking full suitcases,lol. Theweather is so wierd here I have been in florida almost all my life and still cant get used to it, It does get nippy in the evenings so make sure you have a good hat and gloves for the baby and a javket, nothing too thick so you can layers a t-shirt and a turtle neck or a sweatshirt, but for the day it depends and it really is a day to day thing so make sure you are checking the weather reports till the last minute,
Have fun!!! ::MinnieMo

I've been there in March and experience different types of weather on each trip, that's another iffy time of year. When we went in March, I wore capri pants with a t shirt. I always had a sweatshirt with me, especially if I was going to be in the parks in the morning or late at night. If I came back to change before going at night, I changed to jeans. I think your best bet is to plan on layering! Have fun!!

I understand the OP confusion. I am going from 12/2-12/10 and I love to have most of my stuff packed at least 1 week out. However, I am going to wait till at least 4 days out and then check the 10 day weather forecast. I have to admit that I have my big suitcase out and have started packing my snacks.

We are going to be there at the same time, and I had checked the accuweather forecast a few days ago, and it DID say highs in the 70's/80's lows in the 50's. Apparently something DID change! I guess I'll save room in my bags by not packing shorts and bathing suits! I'll bring long pants, short sleeve and long sleeve t shirts, and the jackets and gloves! Layering is best. With my DD7, there is a fine line between being FREEZING and BURNING UP! I make her wear short sleeve cotton t-shirts with long sleeve shirts over them, and a lightweight jacket.
