Hello all. I'm making my first winter WDW trip in about 2 weeks and I'm wondering how to pack differently for December versus May? I live in Georgia, so I'm not used to *really* cold weather like some of y'all might be (I'm cold a lot here) but I want to pack sensibly. Any suggestions? :confused3

TIA,

Your weather shouldn't be a whole lot different than Floridas. But go to weather.com and get teh forcast, then pack what you would wear at home in weather like that. I would bring some pants and sweatshirts for sure, since you tend to get cold easily too. I guess if it really bad, you could always buy something to wear too.

One trip I never opened a suitcase that was filled with jeans, sweatshirts, etc. and another trip I was dreaming of a lined sweatsuit I had just bought and left at home and wished I had with me. Bring clothes for all of it. The mornings were cold and the sun goes down early and it can be cold also. I'm usually cold so I plan for it. I bring gloves, earmuffs and a scarf and I've used them. You can buy gloves for I think $8-10 but why not just throw a pair in your bag from home. I'd rather buy something better than a pair of gloves at disney. Be prepared and you can't go wrong.
Enjoy,
Lucy

I've only been down in December. We're up north. We packed one or two pairs of jeans, short sleeves and shorts. Since you're body temp is on the cool side, I would go for dressing in layers. Usually the temperatures are in the 60's during the days.

So basically take my whole closet. :cool1: Good thing this is a girls only trip...dh won't be there to complain about how much I'm bringing. :rotfl2:

OK, do I still need my poncho?
Will Crocs with socks be warm enough? (They're all my feet will wear now)

Thanks again y'all.

We are from Connecticut, so 60 degrees is warm to us......we'll be in shorts. But, I will pack a pair of jeans in case it's too cold at night for shorts. :)

Bring warm clothes just in case you may need them.

Thanks for the link

Will check it closer to trip time

Glad you like the link.

I check it every day..I'm just a little obsessed

9 more days 'til we go!!! :dance3: :dancer: party:

My philosophy has always been better safe than sorry. I'd bring short sleeved shirts and shorts, but also bring a sweatshirt/jacket and a pair of pants. The early mornings & evenings can get a little chilly.

were going in december just before the holidays...my mom posted that question...probably burmuda shorts and skirts on hotter days and capris on colder days at night wear a sweater or light jacket (blazery type)

I wouldnt worry right now- I always check accuweather before our trips-- I started checking about 2 weeks ago (we are going 11/27-12/2) the forcast changed like 3 times since then! I would take it more serious maybe 5 days out.

But I just started a new thread about how cold it is there right now!!! But the temps are going to climb to 80 by the times we get there on Monday!!!

I am going in December and I live in PA....I am hoping it's warmer then up here at the time, so I am keeping warmer clothes out until the week before, then see what the forecast is and pack accordingly :thumbsup2
