What are your Disney pet peeves?

This is not my biggest pet peeve. Those have already been mentioned. I have a pet peeve with Direct DVC members who look down on resale owners as being lesser members. We all pay the same dues at our home resorts. Resale points and direct points spend the same way when booking rooms. If someone feels comfortable missing out on direct benefits by purchasing resale, then what's the problem? It's an attitude that I can't wrap my mind around.

I sat on a boat going from the MK to VGF and listened to a woman rant about resale buyers. I wasn't eavesdropping. She was wearing a DVC hat and I had asked her where she owned and how was she enjoying her membership. That set her off on her rant. I didn't tell her that I had a blue card courtesy of a small BWV contract that my mom had purchased before restrictions went into effect. I think that would have made her head explode. She was really tearing into resale owners who were diluting the value of her membership. I secretly laughed inside as I walked from the boat dock to my grand villa, which was booked entirely with 3 years worth of resale points.

Maybe she just had some built up animosity about the fact that she likely paid tens of thousands of dollars more to feel special and subconsciously realized it wasn't actually that good of a decision? Cognitive dissonance is a helluva thing.

Note to self: Standing on Disney Bus…Face Forward!
People on the crowded bus can be crazy. I watched someone tell another person they were being rude by standing forward because if they didnt then someone could go behind them and stand butt to butt.

Side note: I got loaded into the bus way before my daughter and my daughter gave my granddaughter a seat and I watched a lady give my granddaughter dirty looks for 30 min. Needless to say the universe knew I needed to not be near that lady that day because it would not have ended well.

Yeah that Walmart rating is questionable.

On google maps the company has a 3.1 rating for the brand and 1.7 rating for the utility billing 😂

We bought a few cases on property at Speedway because they had very good prices. Later we realized it was worth spending a couple more dollars for one of the better brands.
I always buy Dasani there because its safe and Disney approved 😆

Souvenirs (mugs, t shirts, toys etc.) are pretty lame and dated. Seems like a real missed opportunity. And…at the risk of getting major hate, enough of the spirt jerseys 😂. Let’s get some more fun and original stuff!

The shops seem to have all the same stuff
  • If you've been in one, you've been in them all.
I really miss the very olden days when different shops sold unique merchandise. When my sister and I visited MK in 1976 we bought a ceramic otter as a gift for my mom in one of the Main Street shops. It has absolutely nothing to do with Disney, but it's a souvenir in every sense of the word.
  • in addition: How many people are buying dated shirts? I don't want people to know my shirt is 13 years old!
I don't mind, but then again I don't mind having gray hair either. PS I know for sure I have, and still wear, two shirts that date back to 1999, but they don't have dates on them.

Whats wrong with still wearing my Sir Mix-a-Lot '92 "Baby Got Back" tour t-shirts?
Not saying there's anything wrong with showing off that you have great taste in music and got to see it live!

I have clothes that some might consider "vintage" now too, and to be honest- a lot of it was just made better!

On the other hand, how many people really want to show off that they went on vacation years ago? Especially when it's not an event shirt- it's just like the Mickey gang or the castle. With all the cool unique designs available, that's that they choose??

Reminder that this is a peeve! With the amount of them available everywhere in the parks, I'm sure quite a number of people love wearing dates, I'm just not one of them. 😜

Haven't seen this mentioned yet but the entire pin trading community in general. The traders that hang out in the breezeway in Epcot and Frontierland in DL are sharks - they're looking for any opportunity to scam you out of your good pins. The weekly pin releases are also chaotic and terrible. I almost saw two people get into a physical fight over pins the last time I was at WDW.

In the same vein, I cannot stand how 98% of pins on the boards are bootleg crap. I really wish Disney would enforce trading real pins only but I know they won't. There would be too many Karens complaining about it.
