I know I've read posts before about this but can't seem to find any! What little extras do you pack to make your resort stay more enjoyable or organized? Five people used to a five bedroom house all squished into a standard room will be a challenge on its own, what can make it easier?

All I remember so far is a pop up laundry hamper... We will be at the Poly if anyone has ideas specific to that resort.

We never go with out 2 of these.

And at least 1 of these:)

We always bring a power strip, and a popup hamper.(well my DD packs a Popup for her family. I just keep a plactic bag in my suitcase and toss the dirty clothes right in there). I bring a small carrier bag that has pockets that holds all of my cosmetics and toiletries. I don't like clutter on the bathroom counter so this keeps everything in one spot, and after I use it, it sits right on my suitcase in the closet.

I pack my clothes with those white metal hangers that I save when my DH shirts go to the cleaners, so I just take them out of the suitcase and hang them up, and then give them a spritz with my homemade wrinkle release. If I travel with little ones, I pack their unders and socks in ziptop bags. I can then just put each bag in a drawer and nothing gets mixed up. It is all there. I used to pack my DGD outfits for each day in a ziptop bag as well. Just pull one out of the drawer to wear each day and toss one in the backpack JIC>

I never pack dish soap, but my DD puts a small containe in her luggage for the refillable mugs. I just use mine for water, but her family will oftne fill them with soda, so they need more than a swish under the faucet.

Do you mind sharing what is in your homemade wrinkle release?

Not at all. I use my favorite fabric softener, rubbing alcohol and water. Yo ucan substitute white vinegar vor teh rubbing alcohol, and I do that if i want it to mimic Febreeze.

I do not measure, but if you use a Febreeze or bounce bottle, I would put one capful of fabric softener, and use that cap for my rubbing alcohol, and then fill the rest with water. Shake and you are good to go.

I tuck a small spray bottle in my cosmetics bag and never need to iron a thing at the resort.

This works for everything!

I bring a hang up shoe holder to use near the sink for toiletries. I also bring the pop up hamper. We often will do a load of laundry while hanging out at the pool so the hamper is great for transportation as well.

You can cut up sponges into small pieces and soak them with dish soap. Then let them dry before packing. These are great for washing out mugs and eliminates bringing a bottle of liquid(which could leak).

I bring wire hangers too. There are never enough in the room and I like to hang all my clothes. I always leave them behind when packing to go home.
