We're cruising November 9th, and I've laid out our dinner clothing. Experienced folks, would you please let me know if I'm on the right track here? We're not aiming to win the best-dressed award, but we also don't want to look like the Beverly Hillbillies. Please let me know if we're hitting middle-of-the-road!

Tritons:
DH -- dark suit, shirt and tie (men are so much easier!)
Me -- short black crepe-type dress with short crepe jacket (it does make DH's eyes pop out, if I do say so myself), black heels
2 DDs (ages 6 and 9) -- new matching dresses -- purple irridescent skirts, black velvet tank tops, black velvet jackets, black Mary Janes

Animator's Palate:
DH -- dark gray dress pants, nice blue dress shirt, tie (?)
Me -- black print sun dress, not too skimpy, sandals
DD (9) -- green /blue dressy sundress, sandals
DD (6) -- blue dressy sundress, sandals

Parrot's:
DH -- khakis and polo shirt
Me -- black mini skirt, blue spaghetti strap top with matching lace over-shirt, sandals
DD (9) -- jean mini skirt, white peasant blouse, sandals
DD (6) -- jean mini skirt with rhinestones, fluffy pink sweater, sandals

Palo:
DH -- repeat of dark suit, different shirt and tie
Me -- repeat of black crepe dress with jacket, black heels

Sounds great to me! You might even win that "best dressed" award, I think the wonder tends to be less formal than the Magic. You will definately be appropriately dressed though. Enjoy your cruise!

:earseek: WOW!
Sounds more like Dynasty than Beverly Hillbillies! If you really want to be in the center, you are not. You will be very dressed up, however, very classy!
The good news is almost anything goes and as long as you and your family are comfortable and happy then go for it! Better dressed up than too far down!
Have a blast!

It's so nice to read someone who appreciates the suggested dress code. You're going to get some great photo ops from this!

Enjoy!

You folks sure sound PURTY!!!! Seriously, I think you will be very happy with the choices you made. In fact, I'm going out to get another big sparkly dress right now...

Hee hee!

Sounds great. We didn't take a shirt/tie for hubby with his suit...we used a silk t shirt...very nice, very dressy...and he didn't have to wear the tie. Worked great for semi-formal and palo's.

He had a tux for formal night.

Enjoy!

Lucky man!

I'm with Sam! Lucky guy!

I think that has as big a part of dressing up as what DCL actually requests. Don't we all enjoy seeing our DH/DW (not to mention our kids) all "purty" and "classy". Always an :earseek: for me too when DW and I are out and about!
